The site offers a breathtaking view of the Jeffrey forest filled with pine and fir trees. It is a perfect place for a fun and relaxing stay with family and friends.   Activities and Amenities: Other than the gorgeous scenery, the site offers many activities and amenities for visitors of all ages, such as: large campsites, picnic and serving tables and a campfire circle, along with vault toilets and drinking water. Power boating is allowed, but a 10-mph speed limit is enforced. A boat ramp is located on-site and 30 minutes east of the campground, there are facilities for boating, water skiing, swimming and fishing. Located in the beautiful and tranquil town of Beckwourth is the gorgeous Frenchman Campground. The site is home to hundreds of high alpine lakes and thousands of miles of clear-running streams. Pine trees provide moderate to good shade in most sites and at a 5,800-foot elevation, a variety of wildlife make their home in the area.   Activities and amenities: The visibly stunning view isn’t the only thing that the campground has to offer, there are many activities and amenities too, such as: multiple single-family campsites for tent and RV camping, tables, campfire rings with grills, vault toilets, drinking water, firewood, picnic areas and trash collection. Summer activities include hiking, biking and hunting, and winter activities range from snowmobiling to ice fishing and cross-country skiing.   Loaded with fun activities and so much visual beauty, the site will surely make you want to stay longer!
