The Superior RV Park is located in the cozy town of Superior, Arizona and is a great place for an easy-going southwestern vacation. Campers can look forward to popular sites like the Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park, Picketpost Mountain, the Peak of Apache Leap and the World's Smallest Museum. The campground is a day trip from all the urban fun of Phoenix, like it's excellent restaurants, art galleries, theaters, museums and shows. The Prescott National Forest is made up of about 1.25 million acres and borders three other National Forests in Arizona: Kaibab, Coconino and Tonto. As a result, campers can look forward to plenty of space for exploring and breathtaking views for scenic viewing and photography. Half of the Forest lies east of Prescott and takes in the Black Hills, Mingus Mountain, Black Mesa and the headwaters of the Verde River and enjoys a Sonoran Desert landscape and warm atmosphere. And above the desert plateaus, Ponderosa pine dominates the landscape. Travelers can look forward to plenty of great activities at the park, including: white water rafting, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, aerial tours, ATV tours and wide open skies for sunset viewing and stargazing. The park opened in November 2019 and it has 24 spaces in a U-shaped driveway – its amenities include oversize spaces (but not for big-rigs), 50 and 30 amp hookups at each space, a sewage hookup at each space, a water hookup at each space, pet friendly, a recreational walk, dog run, picnic area, and exceptional views.
