Canyon de Chelly, the Meteor Crater and the Harvey House in Winslow are also relatively close by and certainly worth a visit. With sight-seeing, campers can expect cool temperatures and plenty of excellent local eats to satisfy hungry travelers after a long day of exploring. Jim Gray's Petrified Wood Gift shop is definitely a great stop after dinner in downtown Holbrook. There, campers can buy excellent locally made wood arts and crafts.

Roadrunner Lake Resort is one the best options for seniors over 55 looking for a retirement community in the Phoenix Metropolitan area. All of its 600 plus sites have hookups for sewage, water, and electric. WiFi is only available at the clubhouse, but with all there is to do, it's unlikely you'll miss it.
