It's remote and located at the park's North Fork area where there's plenty of quiet and plenty of shade. Trout fishing and non-motorized sports like canoeing and kayaking are common on this lake, but also get ready for some spectacular sunrises and sunsets from the waterside. The Apgar Campground is located on the southern tip of Lake McDonald in the breathtaking Glacier National Park. Campers can look forward to hiking and mountain biking the various trails, and at an elevation over over 5,500 feet, is all steeped in a breezy, cool environment.
