Minooka Park is primarily an ATV/Off-road motorcycle park with miles of trails winding through 420 acres of wooded terrain. Minooka Park also features pavilions, a seven acre fishing pond with a scenic one mile walking trail around the pond, and a RV Campground. The RV Campground has 36 full hookup sites with water, power (30 & 50-amp) and sewage, 4 hook up sites with water & power only, and 2 cabins. Bathhouse and playground facilities are centrally located within the RV Campground. Higgins Ferry is a beautiful county park right in the heart of Alabama, and located just ten miles east of Clanton, which is part of the Coosa River and a premier fishing location for Bass, Crappie, and Catfish. Anglers hold an annual championship right on the docks, so visitors can look forward to that!   Higgins Ferry offers a public boat launch, a pavilion, swimming area, as well as RV and tent camping. The campground also offers 28 full hook-up sites. There’s also a full bathhouse with showers included, and for the kids, there’s a playground area, and a day use area where people can cook out and enjoy the beauty of Lake Mitchell.
