McLennan, Alberta is a small town in west-central Alberta. It has a population of around 100 people and throughout its history, it has changed names several times.
There are many interesting places to visit in McLennan. The town was home to the first order of nuns in Alberta. It is also home to the Fraternities of St Joseph, a rare fraternal society that was founded in 1959 by Brother Cornelius Schuck and has just 6 members left.
The town is home to Beaucoubay Golf and Country Club, which was established in 1919.
McLennan also has several small businesses and a beautiful 18 hole golf course.
The town is located on Highway 527, just a few kilometres south of Highway 16.
McLennan is not a very widely known town but it has been the backdrop for several independent films; The White Horse, which starred Tricia Helfer, Hearts of the Innocent and One Heart.

McLennan Campground and RV Park are situated on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River about two hours southwest of Edmonton. There are no services for campers so bring your water and electricity. The park provides firewood for $6 per bag. The area has a beautiful mix of Oak, Pine, Aspen and Birch trees that provide shade in the summertime. At 1:00 pm each weekend from May to September there is an excellent Fish Fry at the park with proceeds going to a local charity.
