Rules

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT

Check-In starts at 3 p.m. Check-out is by 12 p.m. Early check-ins or late check outs must be approved with the office. Additional fees may apply.

VISITOR POLICY

All visitors must be registered with the office prior to entering the campground.

* We have a visitors fee. Unregistered guest will be charged $10.00 per person & $10.00 per vehicle. The person registered to the site will assume financial responsibility if the unregistered guest does not pay.

* Visiting hours are between 12 p.m.-10 p.m. Visitors that remain at the site outside of these hours will be responsible for paying the nightly rate.

* Please advise all visitors of the rules at Wolf Lake Campground. The registered camper is responsible for the visitors actions and safety.

PET POLICY

We are a pet friendly campground.

* Pets must be on a leash at all times.

* You must clean up after your pet.

* Pets must never be left unattended (this includes in your trailer and vehicle)

* Excessive barking, growling or aggressive behavior is not acceptable.

* No more than two pets per site.

CAMPFIRE RULES

* Campfires are not to be left unattended.

* Campfires should only be in the provided fire ring.

* The fire ring is not to be moved.

* No burning of garbage in the fire ring.

* No firewood is to be gathered from around the campground or woods.

* You can purchase firewood from the camp office during open hours.

* Violations of any of these rules will result in a $25.00 fee.

GENERAL RULES

* Golden Rule for camping: Leave your site better than when you arrived.

* Drive Slowly through the campground abiding by posted speed signs and watch for children. Speeding and reckless driving will not be accepted.

* Quiet Hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. Radio's should be turned off during these hours. Please keep campfire conversations to a respectable level.

* The camper registered to the site is responsible for the actions of their children and visitors. The registered camper will be held financially liable for any damages caused by their children or visitors. Children (17 and under) should be accompanied by an adult after 10 p.m.

* Two vehicles are allowed on the site. Additional vehicles should be parked in the visitors parking. Every vehicle must be registered with the office at check-in. Unregistered vehicles are subject to towing at the owners expense.

* If security or management comes to your site for any disruptive behavior, you will be asked to correct your actions. If your behavior continues you will be asked respectfully to leave. Authorities will be called if needed.

* Language: We expect all campers and guest to use respectful language towards one another and other campers. Music choices should be respectful as well.

* We do not allow clotheslines or any use of nails to protect campers and our trees

* You are responsible for keeping your campsite clean. We will collect your trash bags during the hours of Ilam-1pm Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Trash must be in bags and out by the campsite post for pick up. Outside of these hours it is your responsibility to bring your trash to the blue dumpsters located in our check-in area. No trash is to be burned in the fire pits.

* Fireworks of any kind are not allowed in the campground.

Extra Vehicles

One additional vehicle is permitted to be parked on the site. Any additional vehicles beyond that should be parked in the visitors' parking lot.

This place is in pretty rough shape. I should've read the reviews before staying. The people I talked to were friendly. But the showers and bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. I thought my site was on a lake. It was a dried up marsh. There was a guy pacing around my site on the phone for about an hour one night. There seems to be a lot of people living there.

State park was booked up so we thought we’d try local private. Will NEVER revisit this campground again. This is far cry from “resort” Overpriced, had family of 4, no kids under 16 yet charged extra $20 for “kids” Bathrooms were beyond disgusting, smelled like sewer backing up, shower only had on/off, no temp control and certainly no warm/hot water… room temp at best. There was feces smeared inside one of the shower stalls and on the shower curtain. Outdated looking junk yard for playground. For the price expected much more. We’ve stayed at rv sites that had paved pads, clean facilities, full hookup for less than what we were charged for this dump. $120 for 2 nights…I strongly recommend staying anywhere else but here. Only pro was pond/lake view site. Swimming beach was public beach access located across road not even part of actual campground. Very disappointing

Not a clean campground. I showered 1 time at the bathroom and there was only cold water. The dump station, you have to navigate around cars and back into it. I will not be back!

This is by far the worst campground we have ever stayed at. It is more of a homeless encampment than it is a campground. Trash laying around. Many campers in great disrepair. Some living in tents. One morning one of the kids asked us for breakfast. She told us she has lived there for 2 years. Our friends that we were camping with had issues with electricity not working. If considering camping here, I would NOT recommend.

We reserved our camp site two weeks in advance. When we arrived, we were told that they have changed our campsite. The owner said "a better campsite but it hasn't been mowed yet". They put next to a swampy water hole and unmaintained campsite. The campsite was on a ant hill. There shit in our campsite and when I made an complaint they threatened me with violence!! Very un professional. We rented the camp for 9 nights. The mosquitoes, and ants were to much for us and left after 4 nights.

The electric and water hook up was at the road so when you back in the electric cord would not reach. It looked like homeless people where living next to us clothes lines up every where we had our 6 year old granddaughter with us and they were always arguing cussing. mosquitos where terrible. they had no beech on the property like the pictures show would not ever go back

Very helpful staff. Easy check in process. Close to the lake. Nice bath house. Convenient port-a-poties through out. Several playgrounds for kids. Town was loud outside of the campground. It would be good to have some police presence in the community for all the noise late in the morning (4am loud engine sounds)

When we first got there to check in we had to watch out for children running around outside the main office. Upon checking in we were told we were “upgraded” from the original spot we reserved. Farther away on a hill where there were trees in the way we could barely get in the spot. Then the water hookup and electric did not reach. They still charged us the fee for reserving our spot. After going to the office we then got another spot that was better access BUT I felt like we were in a junkyard/homeless shelter. The bathrooms were unacceptable. Filthy and very outdated. I felt like I needed a shower after showering in that facility. Very outdated place. Online photos are nothing like it actually looks. Maybe 10+ years ago :/

It is not what the pictures show. The bathrooms and showers barely work. The store is a room that they keep stuff you might want/need and mot want to drive to town for. I gave it 3 stars because very helpful and friendly. We couldn't have asked for a better dog friendly RV park.

I had such a nice time camping here! The owners and staff were very kind and helpful! The whole campground is very clean, and the proximity to Wolf Lake was just what I was looking for. The only downside was someone driving around on a 4-wheeler at 3am shining their lights around. I don’t think they were associated with the park but it was pretty disruptive.

Super accommodating and friendly. We checked in and was informed that they moved us to a waterfront site! We asked to stay another evening and they made adjustments so we could stay on the same site. We used our own shower, so the grey tank filled up quickly… they have a pump truck right onsite and emptied all of our tanks for only $25! It’s not super fancy, but we had 50amp service, water, they had wood and ice, and it’s all we needed.

When the power went out I was dissapointed you did not have backup power for your water well(s). The two days I was without shore power would have been much easier with water available. I feel I should be reimbursed for at least one day of my stay.

My family arrived to find out the ‘store’ set to open last year was filled with old appliances and garbage. The ‘beach’ is across the road. The waterside lots which is where we stayed is overlooking the highway and a swamp. The play equipment on 4 of the playgrounds is dangerous and from 1950. The owners dog killed a chicken while we watched in horror. Several dogs ran to our site and were not leashed. There are foot paths and the staff was friendly when you can find them. They are rarely in the ‘office’ which is really a room in their home.

Very disappointed. Dump station very hard to access. Beach is not in the campground. Bath house is not easily accessible, mostly porta johns for bathrooms, they were clean but about 30 years old and un level.

We booked our site, however there was a disclaimer that said you may not receive the site you book. They had the right to make a change as needed. If you paid an additional $5.00 you would be guaranteed the site. We checked in and when we got to our reserved site it was occupied. We set up in the last available lake site. Upon checkin we were told choose any site. I have to say I was a little shocked by the condition of the popup camper next to us. It was very old and had more duct tape than canvas. There was debris all over, and a tent laying upon the ground that had been down for some time. To be honest it looked like a homeless shelter. Several other campers were also in very poor condition. The next day we headed into town with our truck camper. Upon our return our site was taken again by another camper. This time we picked a site up on the slope away from the lake. The restrooms were old but clean and the site for the most part was quiet. It appears that most of the sites are seasonal.

The main benefit of this campground is that it is across from Wolf Lake with easy access for boating, kayaking, or swimming. Many tress for coverage to keep cool while tent camping as my group did over the holiday weekend. My group all agree this campground has so much potential, but does not seem to be cared for well. It just needs a lot of TLC. There was not a camp store as listed in the amenities, the playgrounds are old and rusty, and bathroom/shower facilities were mostly clean but many cobwebs and showers needed new mats as they appeared dirty (wear flip flops).

I wouldn't recommend Wolf Lake. The bathroom/shower building was dirty and smelled like urine, and half the toilets were plugged up. They were quite far from most of the campsites so the campground placed several nasty port-a-johns around the property. There was limited access to running water as well, only one spigot for every few sights. Additionally, there were bits of junk/blight through our the campground (old portajohns, etc). It's a safe place to camp and a spot to sleep though. So that at least is good.

Everything was great, beautiful beach nearby and the nature in the swamp was nice to watch. Bathroom/shower are a little outdated. Owners were friendly and drove around often to make sure everyone was o.k.

The hosts were quite nice and welcoming. The campground is located on a swamp and the lake is across the road with wonderful beach sand. The restrooms and showers are shared with on-site apartments -- my lady would not use such (felt unsafe); however, I did. The RV dump station is near impossible to access (their "honey truck" conveniently blocks such and they charge twenty-five dollars to bring the truck to you). We had no problems, but we're cautioned to keep everything locked!!! The most memorable thing was a hawk in the tree next to us.... Even though seemingly nice hosts, we will not likely return. PS. On a side note, I think they are attempting to improve such.
