The park itself is fantastic—beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy nature. However, there are a few downsides to mention. Some local neighbors who ride horses can be a bit rude and have even been impersonating officers, which is concerning. Also, while there are water connections available, they don’t have running water, which can be inconvenient. Lastly, there isn’t much personal availability or staff presence in the area, so it feels a little isolated at times. Overall, it’s a lovely park, but these issues could be improved for a better experience

Do not stay overnight!!! Read reviews. Poor job of park monitoring (e.g music blaring past curfew, loud partying) with no one on site. Poor site maintenance of many sites including the one I rented (e.g overgrown grass covering BBQ and fire pit.. Many RV sites not leveled. There are better places for the price you pay near by. They either don’t care or want to maximize their profits at the expense of guest users. There’s a reason why they don’t post many pictures.

This is a beautiful park, with wonderful views and an amazing playground. However, our experience here was absolutely horrible. We were never sent a gate code and couldn't get into the park. We called the provided number, but didn't receive a response for about two hours. Someone did put in the gate code so that we could at least get to our site. Unfortunately, the site was so steep that we couldn't level out our trailer (yes it was a tent/RV site). I walked to the camp host's site but there wasn't anyone there (no vehicle either). As we still couldn't contact anyone for a new site, we left and stayed with family nearby. We were provided a new site reservation and refunded for the night we didn't stay. The new site was again steep, but we were able to overcome that with a lot of readjustment. From the driveway, the site living space was uphill and quite uneven. We moved the table and just decided to deal with the unsafe walking conditions when going between the trailer and table. The campground is in dire need of some maintenance - to include daily. The toilets in the men's room were overflowing and a huge mess. The dirt driveways are rutted and quite rough. Grass was overgrown. The Upper Loop was an unpleasant experience. It would be most helpful if a camp host was on site at least on weekends. There was a large group of campers on the lower loop (not the group site) who were hooting and hollering way past the posted quiet hours. Again, Bogart Regional Park is very beautiful, but does not provide a pleasant camping experience. A few suggestions would be to have a host on site, to have the contact person answer their phone, and to ensure that every reservation is provided a gate code.
