Overview
Willow Creek Resort is located in the beautiful town of Willow, Alaska and is a great spot for a fun and relaxing vacation. Campers can look forward to a number of great attractions just beyond the campground including Hatcher Pass which is popular for skiing and hiking, Gold Cord Lake for mining, Nancy Lake State Recreation Area and the Snowbird Glacier for skiing, climbing and scenic viewing. There's also the Gold Mint Trailhead, Penny Royal Glacier, Willow Creek State Recreation Area, and there's plenty of opportunities for scenic viewing, kayaking, boating, fishing, mountain biking and stargazing. And of course, travelers can expect great local breweries, bars and local eateries. Very park-like and family friendly. It's a great place for a family trip with people of all ages. The resort itself is kept super clean and tidy - I could tell that the employees were invested in their jobs and really cared for the appearance of it. A major bonus is the nearby creek, of course. While I stayed here I made sure to get in a lot of fishing and rafting; my brother's kids enjoyed the horseshoes and croquet. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
