We stay every so often. It is an older facility with few things to do other than the pool. It is close by most of the Williamsburg-Busch Gardens type stuff. Antique mall across the street, WalMart across the highway. Outlet malls less than a mile away. Although the park lacks bells and whistles; the power, water, and sewer hookups are reliable. No cable, but off the air should bring in about twenty stations. The internal roads and campsites are grassy and well maintained. It's like camping on a well manicured lawn. Mornings and evenings you can hear the song birds in the trees at the campground as well as flitting through the corn fields on either side of the park. The place is minimally staffed, but the staff are friendly and helpful. Starting last season they have wifi that is very dependable if you camp on the side of the grove nearest the office. There are some derelict looking buildings, but management is making headway on improvements. The times we've stayed there the hallmark has been peacefully quiet. Although they do have festivals, even the motorcycle club they had was not bothersome. Campers with little tots have generally clustered together and not been an issue for us grumpy old folk. For those who walk their four footed family members a few times a day, there is a wooded area with roads/footpaths at the back of the park that will provide hours of sniffing and rooting about for you pet. Caution, unless they have some new picnic tables, would not recommend dancing on them. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
