While this campground is the closest one to Carlsbad Caverns, I don't recommend staying here. We paid $36.00 for one night with a Good Sams Discount - not worth it. The spaces are close together and share a firepit and covered picnic tabe. I did not check out the bathhouse facilities. Around 9:00 pm a large diesel class A pulled in next to us and instead of hooking up their electric and water, they ran their generator ALL night long. At about 10pm my throat started getting sore and I developed a headache even tho our alarm never did come on. You could smell the fumes very strongly. We unplugged our unit and moved far away next to the trash dump to escape the fumes. I tried calling the office but just got voice mail. When we first checked in, the office only gave us a receipt - not rules and regulation sheet as we usually receive and they did not tell us who was the campground host for emergencies. Had we known who to contact at that hour we would have done so. The next morning we complained to the office and they did offer to refund our money. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group

We stopped over for one night in Jan. Place was pretty empty aside from some workers in the area and a passerby. It's very quiet as there is nothing else for miles. It made for a peaceful night. The young woman working the gift store where you check in was very nice. You can take tours from the RV park to the caverns which we did not do because we needed to leave early. The gift store was big with variety of gifts and food, supplies. I'm assuming the place picks up in summertime. Rv park is limited, it's no resort, and I wouldn't use the bathrooms. But it did have power to hook up to and that's all we needed. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
