If I could give a big fat 0, I would. We have never been so disappointed in a campground as this one. First, when you pull in their campground, there is a large pile of junk on the left side of the entrance. There are several junk piles around. One of their rules is all dogs on a leash. Several times their dogs have come up to us while are sitting on the deck. They let their dogs poop anywhere and don't clean up after them. Quiet hours are at 11. But every night right around midnight they let their dogs out and let them run. Then they stand there and yell for them. It is now 1:22 in the morning and they are standing outside have a very loud conversation. The river site was nice minus the visits from unleashed dogs. Laundry area is disgusting. Cobwebs (not the halloween type) and junk all over the place. Bathrooms were clean tho. It really would not take much to pick this place up and make it presentable. It really is a beautiful place to go and visit.

Convenient location off the Tuskasagee River a short drive to Asheville, Smoky Mountain National Park, Pigeon Forge, TN, Gatlinburg, TN and many other attractions and activities including historic Bryson City; be sure to take the Smoky Mountain Railroad tour and visit the Bryson City Railroad Museum. Miss Laura was helpful and kind. There were a couple pretty big storms that came through during our stay knocking out power and WiFi. Miss Laura generously waived our nominal power bill since we didn’t have WiFi for much of our stay. The spaces are a little tight and there are a number of long term/permanent tenants. Everyone we encountered was friendly and open. We also enjoyed the locally grown fruits and veggies. The proprietors are continuously working to make park improvements. We did not use any of the park facilities so can’t comment on the laundry or shower rooms. We enjoyed the time we did spend on the private deck overlooking the river and felt safe to go on adventures without worrying about our rig.

Campground Response

Thank you so much for writing a review. Yes, we do have more seasonal campers this year due to the pandemic, I’m honored to be chosen for their secondary home. Also, thank you, for understanding Mother Nature ripped the WiFi wires off the power pole during the storm. I’m proud to have good WiFi, for my RV’s.
