Whether you want to visit the Magnolia Silos, Baylor University, or just enjoy a relaxed country setting, Waco RV Park is the place to stay. If you like large, beautiful trees and wide-open green space, you will love Waco RV Park. Cradled in its own pocket of undisturbed Texas landscape, with Shaw Creek circling its border, it offers the rare combination of country and convenience. We are a casual, inviting slice of nature all with full hookups for both 30 and 50 amps.

We are a small family-owned park. We host daily, short-term and longer-term campers. We are not fancy and don’t have some of the amenities that the big parks have, but if you want to enjoy your time here, you will. If you want a place to stay where you can view the Texas stars that shine so bright, this is the place!

From here it is only 8.8 miles and 13 minutes to the Magnolia Silos and downtown Waco; 7.3 miles and 8 minutes to McLane Stadium; and 7.9 miles and 10 minutes from Baylor University campus.

The beautiful sunset you see is at Tradinghouse Creek Reservoir, less than 4 miles away.

Our guests enjoy a large, beautiful covered Pavilion for individual relaxation or socializing with family and friends. The Pavilion is the perfect place for dinner or just forgetting the cares of the day. Our on-site laundry is available to our guests 24/7.

Our standard rates are: $37 daily; $230 weekly (7 nights); and $400 plus electricity (and refundable electricity deposit) The daily and weekly rates include electricity.

Rates may change depending on the number of campers or other circumstances at the time.

We look forward to seeing you!

It was terrible. When we first got there we could not find our site. No one there to help us. Had to text the number we had because the voice mail was full. After driving around twice we asked someone who lived there if they knew where site one was. She stated that it was taken by someone else because their was flooded. So we had to find another site. When the owner/ manager call us back she said there had been flash floods that week. Also the grass came up to mid calf around our site. They cut grass while we were there but did not cut or weed eat around us. We felt like it was a mobile home park instead of a RV park.

I am looking for an RV park to visit Texas during the spring wildflower season. How are the wildflowers at this park? I don't know how to e/mail them so . . .

Campground Response

Stuart, wildflowers will be everywhere you look, but they are technically weeds. In order to keep the park maintained, we keep weeds at a minimum. You will see wildflowers along every highway and many other places without even trying. Enjoy your trip !

If we could give this park a zero we would. Advertised as full hookups and had no sewer. There was no manager on site so we had to eat our whole entire stay ($271). Be forewarned. DO NOT BOOK THIS RV PARK. It was also very dirty. Grass up to our knees. Low hanging branches. Very difficult access to our site.

I love the proximity that they RV park is to Waco and the nearby towns. It was super easy to get back-and-forth, everything was no farther than 10 minutes away. It was absolutely wonderful being so close to every thing but make sure on you way back to be looking closely for the Rv park sign as it sits very far back from the road and is easy to miss especially at night . The road in the park is small only one car can pull in to the main entrance at a time, it could use a grading and fresh gravel as it is has many big holes and is very rough and bumpy. There is no shade for your RV at the park (which is pretty normal for most parks) so just make sure you’re not in it during the hottest time of the day because your ac will not be able to keep up with the Texas heat. (12pm-4pm) Also the RV pad spots blends in with the grass around it (as grass has grown oven the rocks) so be careful backing up or you fall of the pad. Most of the RVs in the park are long term residence and are very friendly. Over all my family would stay again it was nice being so close to town and the silos without having so many people around and still being able to enjoy some privacy.

Campground Response

Erika, Thank you for your kind, unbiased review. We very are glad you enjoyed your stay with us despite the heat. It has been triple digits for weeks now, but we nearly always get a break and drop in temperatures around Sept 15. Most of the park has shade, but the pull-thrus are pretty open. We are considering whether to plant more trees where the pull-thrus are if they won't take up too much space. We hope to see you again ! Margaret Wilson Owner

The park is under new management that greeted us and seem to be working to fix it up. Camp was neat, mowed and easy to access. Pool could not be used but grandkids had fun exploring and riding their bikes. I look forward to staying again and seeing the improvements as the new younger management makes progress.

Campground Response

Kyle, thank you for your kind review. Since our recent management change, most people are feeling the same way you are. Our park has vastly improved in every way under our new management, and we are delighted to be able to provide a quality experience for our campers. We hope to see you again.

This was a last-minute booking on a trip from Austin to Dallas for my sister and me. The park seems to be mostly long-term folks. The road could use a grading and fresh gravel as it is rutted and in some cases muddy. The pad was grass and a bit soft. It is winter, so we took that into consideration. We both agreed that with not too much investment it could be vastly improved. However, it was convenient to the road and Waco. I operate a small hotel, so I am all about the details.

Campground Response

Ms. Marsh, I believe this review is from you based on its timing, although for some strange reason there is no name attached to it. I am glad we were able to accommodate you and your sister at the last minute. I agree with some of your observations about the roads, and I am sorry if that was an inconvenience to you. While the road overall needs more gravel, we are glad that only a few places are muddy. Regardless, we will be regrading and adding base and gravel to the entire road when we catch a long enough break from the rain. We have had an unseasonably high amount of rainfall since October, and, due to the saturation of the soil, there is even some water still standing along highway 6 where you were traveling. We are a Mom and Pop park, and since Pop died last year, I am still trying to fill his shoes and see to the things he always took care of. I often fall short, but it is gradually getting better. I hope the next time you and your sister come through Waco you will stay with us again and see some much improved roads. Best wishes for you and your hotel. Margaret Wilson

I just want to say that I have stayed in multiple high end RV parks and several rough ones due to availability. Waco RV Park is your average every day stay. It isn't the largest, it doesn't have all of the amenities, but if you are looking for a clean park, good people next to you, a great Manager who works with people, like you are an actual human being and not a number, this is your place! I have stayed here for almost 6 months solid and the staff takes care of me and they listen to any problems you might have and they do have a pool! Small drive into Waco with a great country feel and small town sense of dealing business. As for the mud... every place has mud when you went through two weeks of torrential rains and flooding everywhere. I dealt with it but nothing horrible or any flooding and that's just mother nature! Take from a permanent resident at Waco RV Park... I love it here! -Chad

Campground Response

Chad, thank you for your kind review. We are very happy that you have chosen to stay with us on a monthly basis. If we did have permanent residents, we would certainly want you to be one of them, but just to be clear for those who sometimes ask, we cannot accept reservations for longer than a month's stay at a time.

Not sure what to call this place. But, to me, it is not a campground. It is a place to park RV's. But, it is very poorly maintained and occupied by long-term "campers" that really do not do a good job of maintaining any type of a good image for this place. The only two sites that were available to use to park in were so muddy I wouldn't park a barn cart in either one let alone a 5th wheel RV. We arrived, drove one lap around the "camp", called and requested a refund, left and went to The I-35 RV Park.

Campground Response

Jamey and Peggy, We are sorry we could not meet your expectations. We made sure you received a maximum refund from Rover Pass and even paid to refund the booking fee, which is not usually part of the refund. We wish you the best in your travels.

Lovely park....but I think we were the only ones not actually living there. Could have been a little cleaner however I understand that Mr. Wilson is ill. Hopefully his health will improve soon and he will be able to manage things on his own. Would we stay here again? Yes!

Campground Response

Babs, thank you for your kind review, as well as your concern for my husband. He is doing well now. Although we do have guests who have chosen to stay with us on a monthly basis, we also host many like you who stay a week or two, as well as those who are traveling and need a place for only a couple of nights. We value all of you, so we are adding more space and new sites. We would love to have you here again. Maybe by then we will have the new space finished !

This is a very nice and elegant park. I truly enjoyed the great open land to run around with my kids on. Throwing Frisbees and balls were the highlight of our evening (we are simple). The park itself was really nice and the staff was very friendly! The location is really great because if you are traveling in many different ways through Waco you can find this park. The price is perfect as it’s less than a lot of other parks I have been to recently. The utilities were clean and decently placed throughout the park. Overall it was a nice stay and worth checking out. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group

Campground Response

Sadie, please permit me to say a belated late thank you for your kind review of our park. I have never called it elegant, but we will surely accept the compliment !
