Our campground is at 6300 feet above sea level, so the weather can turn on a dime. Make sure you are prepared for everything from sun to snow.

DO NOT FOLLOW GPS in this area. It is unreliable and will send you to the wrong place.

Outstanding facility a must stay while visiting Virginia City. Owners are friendly and helpful. The views of the mountains and sunsets are spectacular.

Very convenient to area attractions, campground facilities clean and well cared for, nestled in a small valley with forest on one side, enjoyed sitting outside our campsite. Convenient shopping for groceries etc in nearby Ennis, this campground closer to Virginia City attractions and more scenic than Ennis campgrounds, would definitely stay again.

Nice RV Park and enjoyed our stay

Kathy White

The campground is well laid out, very clean, and quiet! They do pack the campers in tight with not much room to park a vehicle. Also, no wood fires are allowed (which I understand with how close everyone is!).

Very nice campground; Bath rooms with showers very clean. Buildings and other structures well maintain. Campground Rules posted, which are understandable and clear. Only negative issue, one campgroung guest found it necessary to walk around campground carring a handgun in holster. I find this ridiculous and recommend campground management update campground rules restricting carring guns / fire arms in campground.

We really enjoyed our stay. Camp site 28 was great for us.

Well-kept campground with excellent WIFI. However, the pitch was so uneven that a rented RV cannot possibly be leveled.

Campground Response

Thank you for your review. With a campgound built into the slope of a mountain, gravel has a tendency to shift over the summer. We wish you would have come into the office to let us know that there was a problem so we could fix it.

Great place!!!! Super Clean bathrooms. Close to Virginia city and Nevada city. Really nice hosts. Would love it if we could choose our site instead of just having one assigned to us. Otherwise perfect place!

Very nice clean RV Park with great amenities. They were very welcoming and pet friendly which was awesome since our dog sitter canceled last minute! We don’t live far from VC we were there for a weekend convention but I would live to visit again for a little weekend getaway 😊

Be aware that the 10 day cancellation policy is solid. I attempted to cancel due to a trip cancellation and I was 5 days out (I was also being courteous) and they were like thanks. So if you use this tool be aware you will NOT get your money back.

This is one of the hardest working couples I've ever seen. Every year when we show up there are improvements. The campground is always beautiful, and the new rock work separating the camp spots is very nice, too. These people know exactly what they're doing. They get it. The internet is good and easy to login to, as well. The bathrooms are nice and clean, which is very important to me. I love the Rambling Moose!

Campground Response

Thank you so much for noticing the work we are putting into this campground! We appreciate your kind words. There is more to come next year!

We had a great time in Yellowstone Cabin. We didn't see the notice that we needed to bring bedding, but we had enough in vehicles to make it work. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Great place to stay 2 nights. Hot showers, clean restrooms. Hosts were very pleasant and have done a great job on the design of the parking spaces and accommodating your needs. Host made beautiful quilt thriws and dish towels too which i got 2. Please book yourself there when visiting Virginia City, Ennis and Nevada City.

Campground Response

Thank you for your awesome review! Enjoy your new tea towels!!

Very clean, more roomy than others where we've stayed. Friendly, gracious hosts, very clean facilities. Just a great spot and lots to do and see in historic Virginia City and Nevada City.

A wonderful campground on the edge of Virginia City. Lovely location, nice sites and beautifully maintained. The bathroom/showers were immaculate. The owners were extremely accommodating and had a wealth of information. Thank you for such a super experience, we'll be returning!

Campground Response

Thank you! We look forward to hosting you again.
