The campground road is aweful. Filling it in with wood chips is not going to fix all the deep holes and the playground should be upgraded, it is dangerous for the kids to be on it. Always have a good time but it needs some upgrading.

We pulled in and found no showers or running water in the bathroom. When I booked the campground the website said that there were showers. Didn't see any, and the vault toilets were dirty and full of flies. We didn't stay and couldn't even get ahold of anyone to ask about it. Also can't get out money back either. That's pretty bad.

I am so sorry you could not find me on the property. as I am the only employee here, I am always doing something. I clean the cabins; I mow all the property, so I am not in the office often. I knew you were coming in and I will always find time for new guest to great and answer any questions you may have had. I could have told you where the shower was and addressed any other concerns. I checked the outhouses and yes, they were not as clean as could be, they were not full of flies. Unless you were looking at the fly strip that is there to kill them. If you would have just given a little time, I would have made your visit a good experience.

Cabin was not ready dirty and no power. Move to cabin five. No one at check in till 10 at night when she stop by. Lawn was not cut. Holes in the screen and door jam that let in bugs

Campground Response

The cabin you are referring to was not ready due to a faulty hot water tank. Wed. is my day off so I was not here when you arrived to inform you that your cabin had to be moved. As for the grass, I cqnt mow in the rain which we had, when I did mow, I did what I could without throwing grass all over your trucks and boats. I apologized and your response was not to worry about it. The screen does not have hole it was pushed out and there are no holes in the door jam. I am sorry you had a bad experience and I am doing my best to correct the minor problems we are having.

When I viewed this location online it portrayed itself differently. From the pictures it seemed like it was right on the lake, but campground is surrounded by a river and a pond. This cause the air to be smell, and increase the amount of bugs. Geese dropping were an issue. I had a reservation for two nights but only stayed one.
