We selected this park due to the proximity to the family that we were visiting for a weekend event. Since this was the middle of July, we noted that the park was half full. The sites are clean, and clear, with nice grass areas. We used the laundry room and while it was clean, I thought the $5 cost for a single cycle of wash and dry was closer to the higher end that I would be used to. We are not 'resort' people, but I can imagine that people would enjoy the centre pond and the small swimming pool. My only concern was when my wife's friends came to pick her up. They arrived and parked in the front parking lot, and then walked the three spaces over to our RV to see the RV. While walking to leave, a staff person came by on a golf cart and started to verbally berate them for parking in a handicapped space (in an empty parking lot) and walking onto the property. While my wife and her elderly friends were being yelled at to "do what you're told" they did not have the opportunity to have their handicap decal on the rental vehicle that they were using. Afterwards, the person, came by to threaten me as well about the situation and that he would have us thrown out. While I do not doubt that somewhere in the excessive signage this is a technical rule violation, I am suspicious that this commitment to vehemence and rudeness is equally applied to all guests. I was disappointed that I failed to see anything to imply that this is a 'traditional, good old days' kind of RV park, but I would certainly not recommend this location to the Green Book.

Site itself is attractive, site location not so much. Fort Pierce has the reputation for being one of the most dangerous cities in Florida, might be why so many park residents carry guns. This last 2019 season almost every unlocked vehicle was robbed or rummaged through in the middle of the night. Many folks lost important paperwork and two very irresponsible gun owners had their guns stolen that were left in unlocked glove boxes in unlocked vehicles. The cops were onsite for several days investigating and the management team never bulk emailed or individually notified each resident, they posted a notice in a real small font at the entrance gate. In my opinion the husband and wife management team are pretty incompetent and lack basic interpersonal communication as well as property management skills! They have trained their work campers to be a small police force who constantly rove the park in golf carts looking for infractions. One of them (Kevin) likes to scream at people at the top of his lungs and will not hesitate to call you names. Many many residents have filed complaints against this guy but it falls upon deaf ears. This guy as well as many guests also have no problem letting their pets use your site as a bathroom, the problem was so bad on our corner it began to stink. If your lucky like us, you'll get a site next to where the regional manager parks his old moldy class A that gets more moldy by the day. There was a huge family of ferrel cats roaming the property urinating on everything. I heard from two RV owners who had issues with snakes in their units. There are homeless people at the end of the access road daily panhandling for money and there is a homeless man living in the woods right next to the property. This property is surrounded by hotels, truck stops and truck washes as well as the main Fort Pierce exit for I95 intersecting with Rt 70 to Okeechobee. There is constant noise from 95 and from all of the local truck traffic. The neighbors bordering the east side of the property occasionally have late night parties with extremely loud music and burn rubbish that you can smell all day. This season 2019 at the very end of the access road there was a drug dealer shot dead by the cops. Not to far away there was another incident involving gang members AR 15's & the cops, car chase & shooting. Just off the access road to the property there is a huge abandoned strip mall, there are plenty of shady characters hanging around this place. Look up the Fort Pierce crime statistics and you be the judge.

This is a favorite of our in South central Florida. Definitely a location park especially for the winter and I highly recommend it to everyone only after I have my reservation wink emoticon. Spotless, well run, management is great and onsite 27/7. Workampers are mostly Veterans who take great pride in what they do. Adult oriented, you won't see many kids here if any, mostly over 55 with small dogs and active bicycle riders. Facilities are always neat & clean and all laundry facilities were new in November. The clubhouse and pool are perfect for activities and relaxing, an active activity schedule. Coffee in the morning, an active bicycle group, there is a paved bike path from Forth Pierce almost to Okeechobee. We take our bikes over to Hutchinson Island and ride flat for miles on end. Oh, weekly banana split social!!!Just a few exits north of West St Lucie where there is plenty of shopping, NY Mets spring training Stadium, Tradition, nice little town with a great NY style bagel shop and more shopping and pet supplies. T You have the Roman animal hospital in Palm City, our NYC Vet found this doctor for us and Dr Pace pronounced (pa-chee) is excellent. The hospital is close to the site and your exactly one hour north of West Palm Beach and in between that Jupiter & Stuart, awesome seafood festival in Stuart! The property is a mile or less from the 95, noise is not an issue for us anyway. I'm not a huge fan of inner town of Fort Pierce but downtown on the water has been revitalized and is beautiful. Every Saturday there is an awesome Food Festival and Crafts Fair right on the water starting . Perfect place for breakfast and fresh food for supplies, lots to choose from. And if you don't feel like cooking, S&S take-out is right downtown with some of the best home-style take food I've ever had! Look for them on FB they post a daily menu; large portions and reasonable, prices drop after to make room for fresh menu the next day. We do not have the Cougar anymore we have an Open Range 345RLS look for us! Picture album to follow. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group

We stayed at Glen Oaks from December - Mid March. This is a senior retirement park, with 35 sites, mostly older mobile homes, but they do have a few RV sites. Full Hook Up. Sites are nice and clean. Concrete Patios. Mgr just planted fruit trees in the common area. The best thing was the price - $350/month plus electric. Most places we checked were $600-$1000/mo. Cable is available. Walking distance to Dino's Restaurant - good price, great food. Bordered by Taylor's Creek - we saw manatees and otters. No fire pits, but you can grill out, and/or bring your own. Friendly neighbors, and quiet after dark. Cell service was excellent - no public wifi. East Coast - midway between Ft. Pierce and Vero Beach. About an hour from Orlando. 3/30/2016. Would stay again. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
