State park was too crowded, decided to stay here instead. Good choice, relaxed vibe, and still close enough to go enjoy the state park during the day

I really like the location of the park. Located between Groesbeck and Mexia. Perfect driving distance for all the local attractions and state park. The people are friendly and pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend this park.

This laid back quiet park is a hidden gem. Management is supper reliable and responsive. Rules are strictly enforced within reason. This home town park is refreshing and a great place to recharge and rewind away from hectic city life!

The pictures are not of this RV Park, it’s the one down the road. The other campground is $15 cheaper than this one. I also paid to guarantee my site which was a pull through and when I arrived my site wasn’t available because there was no electricity going to it. I also paid for a pad fee . We parked on gravel. Sewage was running on top of the ground and it stunk. . I understand this campground was purchased a few weeks ago but the owner needs to move here and repair the issues. The man that’s running it for him doesn’t know anything.

Campground Response

Rose ( I believe your actual name is Eric) The pictures are from our RV park. I do not believe any of the other parks are cheaper than ours. I don't see on your reservation where is was a guaranteed pull through and we don't have pad fees. We have never claimed to have anything other than gravel spots. After your report we had an inspector come out and there were no signs of sewage, but you might have been getting smells from your system if you did not have your valve closed. As far as the temporary maintenance guy "not knowing anything", I'm not sure how to answer that. All of this being said, we did offer to refund your entire stay as you asked. You said the issues " werent that big of a deal (paraphrased)". We responded to every request you made to the best of our availability, and we did appreciate your input at the time .We do apologize that you did not get the stay you expected, and hope the remainder of your trip was enjoyable.
