Rules

Trash Removal

The dumpsters are for TRASH ONLY. The following items are not considered trash: grills, furniture, mattresses, cabinets, or electronics. Please dispose of your non-trash items by taking them home and disposing of them through your own garbage service company. If you are found dumping any items that are not considered trash, you will be asked to remove the items from the dumpster.

Swimming Pool

NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. All swimming is at your own risk. The pool will only be open during store hours. If the pool gate is closed and locked, no swimming is allowed. For children 17 or under to swim, the 2 adults responsible for their safety and behavior must register the child at the store to receive a pool bracelet. This is MANDATORY. If your child is found in the pool without a bracelet, your child will be asked to get out of the pool and cannot return until he/she has been registered at the store and received a bracelet. Babies/Toddlers must use swim pants in the pool. Diapers are not allowed in the pool. No pets are allowed in the pool area.

Park Speed Limit

A maximum speed of 5 miles per hour throughout the campground. This includes all vehicles, golf carts, bicycles, motorcycles, or any other wheeled method of transportation.

Smoking

There is NO SMOKING in the restrooms, cabins, playgrounds, or any Tamarack buildings. Please utilize fire rings or receptacles to depose cigarettes or cigar butts. Let us keep our lawns and roads clean!!!

Miniature Golf:

Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Campfires

All fires are to be contained within the fire ring. Fires should be no higher than 3 feet. No fires shall be left unattended and must be extinguished before retiring or leaving the campsite.

Campsite

It's your responsibility to keep the campsite clean. A person who vandalizes a campsite or any property within Tamarack Campgrounds will be prosecuted. If the person is a minor, the parents will be held responsible.

Golf Carts

If renting a golf cart, you must provide a valid driver’s license and sign the Golf Cart Rental Agreement. To operate a golf cart without an adult, you must be 16 years of age and have a current valid driver’s license. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a licensed adult driver when operating a golf cart. No Exceptions!!! If this rule is violated, your privilege of having a golf cart in the campground will be revoked. Golf carts driven after dusk must have headlights on the front of the cart. No flashlights are allowed in place of headlights. No driving golf carts after midnight is permitted. Golf Carts must remain within Tamarack Campgrounds. Please drive in a responsible manner and follow park speed limits.

Bicycles

NYS requires that children under the age of 14 wear an approved helmet. This law will be enforced within the campground. No riding after dusk.

Vehicles

Registered vehicles only. Limit one (1) vehicle per site. This rule is per code enforcement. Additional vehicles must park in the designated visitor parking areas. Utility trailers and boats must be placed in the visitor parking areas. Not on your site.

Black Water Dumping

All black water dumping must be done at the dumping station with your trailer. State law prohibits the discharge of blackwater on the ground or stored in containers.

Restrooms & Showers

To avoid accidents or injuries in the restrooms, it is mandatory that an adult accompany children under eight (8) years of age. A person that vandalizes any of the Tamarack Campgrounds Restrooms will be prosecuted. If the person is a minor, the parents will be held responsible. Please do not wash dishes in the restroom.

Playground

The playground is closed from 9:00 p.m. - 9:00 a.m. No Exceptions. An adult must supervise children under eight. The playground equipment is for children, not adults.

Pets

All pets MUST be vaccinated. Proof of current vaccinations is required. No Visitors’ pets are allowed without current proof of vaccination. Pets are welcomed but are required to be always leashed, this includes walking through the campground. Pets cannot be tied outside and left unattended. All pet feces must be picked up immediately. Please do not dispense your dogs’ feces into any fire rings. Barking (excessively) or growling dogs will not be tolerated. If any pet is creating a disturbance or being a nuisance, the owner will be asked to remove the pet. No pets are allowed in the POOL area or any of the TAMARACK BUILDINGS. Maximum two (2) pets per site

Campground Visitors

Daily visitors are FREE, except there is a charge of $5.00 per visitor for the pool. For each overnight guest, there is a $10.00 per night fee. Children under 4 are FREE. It is the responsibility of the camper to register each visitor at the camp store. All visitors must follow the campground rules.

Quiet Time

Quiet Hours are 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Any Camper under the age of 18 must be at their campsite (or) with an adult after 11:00 p.m. on any day.

We stayed in October and it was almost closing weekend for the season. The weekend sites are in back and pretty good size. We did not have sewer hookups and had to use the dump station when we left. The staff was very nice and helpful. There are a lot of seasonals and the driveway up to the office/check-in was extremely narrow. The kids enjoyed the mini golf and arcade. The playground equipment was in need of updating as it was things from the 70's (which was a great trip back in our memories). Our stay there was nice.

This is our third trip to Tamarack and had another great weekend. All of the staff gets and A+ and we wanted to thank the seasonal campers for being so nice. See you next year. :)

OMG this campground is the best. The staff is amazing and are always ready to help. They have many activities for the kids and the weekend entertainment is great. I would highly recommend this campground to everyone.

Really enjoyed our stay there. Stayed in cabin 7 which has a half bathroom. The cabin faces the Woods so it felt very isolated and peaceful plus the views were just very nice The staff was very friendly as well as the permanent residence. It has lots of amenities but we didn't have a chance to use them. Will definitely go back.

The employees at the campsite were good, all tent sites are absolutely horrid, not a single flat piece for tents, the driveway getting back to the tent site is messed up and can barely fit a truck through it, all the campsites flood out when there is a little bit of rain, they have kids driving golf carts at 11pm through out the whole park, the amount of campers they have maxi packed into that area is ridiculous, the bathrooms are pretty bad, showers are horrible, says that there a is a restroom and shower over by tent sites but that is not the case, have to walk or drive to entire other side of campground to use either, only one facility for the entire campground, they give 0 cares about the tent campers. staff is awesome, place sucks! Save your money!

This is the 3rd year we rented cabin from Tamarack and it continues to be a great time! Great fireworks for the 4th of July and the live band is great. Everyone is very friendly and we had a great time!

We were the first to stay in the tee-pee. it was very nice, big enough for a queen sized air mattress and enough room to walk around it. We thought it would be hot in there but it wasn't it was quite cool. But if I could add anything it would be an inside outside carpet on the floor. When we stepped inside we heard a banging noise as if it weere rocking a little, possibly needs a little more leveling, or a little extra shimming. but over all it was a great stay in a pretty cool little tee-pee.

This was our first visit to the campgrounds but will not be our last. The people were just the best and so helpful. The band was great, and the other campers were so nice. They are the best and I would recommend them to everyone.

Nice campground. Very few weekend sites. The store and Rec hall are very nice. Bathrooms and showers could use some updating and cleaning. overall a great stay.

I know it's been a rainy spring but sites were muddy and unlevel. Some grading & limestone would have help our site. I chose a site when making my reservation then got notified that site was under construction so was changed. Upon arrival girls in office were helpful & took us to our site..280..it was very muddy, unlevel & no grass..she put us in site 281 which was better but a bit short with the water lines buried shallow. I guess I missed that this wasn't a full hookup site that I booked but In the end of our 3 night stay it all worked out.

Absolutely loved this campground! Jen and Alisha in the office were the best! Super friendly and helpful. Even all the campers were nice! I rented a golf cart for one day and returned it the next. About an hour and a half later, I went back to the office to rent it again. Tracy in the office charged me another full day instead of the weekend rate. My stupidity. But Jen and Alisha made it right and refunded me the difference. I thought that was great! Highly recommend this campground!

Such a beautiful campground especially during foliage! I didn’t get anyone’s names, but the girl who checked us in was fun and welcoming. And the manager helped me back my camper in with no trouble at all. The folks who are there seasonally are kind and welcoming as well! Awesome playground for the kids too!!
