This is beautiful oasis nestled in the mountains on the Bitterroot River. It is on the "Lewis and Clark" trail as one of their important stops and encounters with the Salish people. I highly recommend putting a stop here on your wish list!

Thank you ! I’m glad you enjoyed your stay

The price I paid was a lot. I was never given a code to the restroom. I paid for fire wood and couldn’t have a fire and not credited for that

Campground Response

Nancy , you clearly seen the price when booking . You didn’t have to book a stay . It’s very untrue that you was not given the bath house codes . You was given all info before check in . I have the messages . You was refunded for the firewood before your arrival - it was county & Forrest service restriction that prohibited any campfires , hence being we are in extreme fire risk . You had full access to my number too - what’s more odd is your husband complimented his stay . I’m sorry you felt the need to be a negative Nancy .

This is a great little campground right on the river. The owners were great and friendly. They let us park our truck and side by side spot next to our camper for the week which we appreciated! My only negative is the very tight security. Everything was locked down. While we understand it, it isn't very camper friendly.

Campground Response

Hmmm …. Yes we do keep each site locked until someone checks in . I’m not even sure why you’d bother commenting like that . It’s certainly not camper unfriendly as you state Or should even concern you . Anything locked would be places you shouldn’t even be trying to get into . And yes , as stated when booking , we live onsite and do keep a watchful out for our security and the security of our guests . I’m sorry you felt the need to give a review like this 😉. We didn’t charge you for the extra Rv spot for an entire week & allowed your friend to use parking for several days . Even in your own words , you understand why things are locked , but felt the need to be negative . Thank you so much 😊😉

We really enjoyed Camp Sula. It was beautiful and quiet, and people were friendly. We saw wildlife nearby and enjoyed the little chipmunks that ran around the camp. If we go back to Montana, we are likely to stay there again.

This is a nice and clean rv park. The sites are well maintained, fairly level, and shaded. Though it's just off the road it was very quiet. Not too much traffic after mid day. We did use the bathhouse and it was 1 of the best and cleanest I've experienced while traveling. Plenty of hot water, room to take a shower, and an area to dry your hair and get dressed. The camp store is well stocked and there's even homemade baked goods for sale. The creek is behind the cabins and you're welcome to wade out to cool off. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Truly some of the kindest people I've met. Communication was perfect...not too much and not too llittle. All information was emailed and texted to me, which I prefer but there was also a phone number you could call if needed. Rates for the days we stayed were a fair price for full hookups but if you're in an elec/water only site there is a dump station as well. I would 100% stay at Camp Sula again. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Absolutely loved this campground. It’s small enough that we got to know many of the other campers. They have the cutest little fish pond where you can feed the trout and my husband was able to fish the river only about 50ft from our campsite which we didn’t even know would be an option. The hosts were spectacular and so kind at every turn. Hoping to come back soon!

Thank you 😊
