Tucked away on the north end of Lake Ashtabula in Sibley, North Dakota, Sibley Shores Campground is your perfect lakeside getaway. Whether you're reeling in the day's catch, launching a boat for an afternoon on the water, or simply relaxing around the campfire, our campground offers a peaceful escape surrounded by nature. 
Sibley Shores Campground features 34 RV campsites with electric, water, and sewer hookups in addition to a bath house and 2 cabins which can be rented in any season. Located near the City Park and a short drive or walk from the Sodbuster's bar, this campground gives you and the family ample opportunity for recreation.

Campground Rules, Policies & Camper Agreement

These rules are established to ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all campers and guests. By booking a campsite, all campers agree to comply with the following policies. Failure to follow campground rules may result in warnings, fines, or removal from the campground without refund.

1. Campground Conduct & Fair Use Policy

● Campers, guests, and visitors must conduct themselves in a respectful and courteous manner at all times. ● Harassment, threatening behavior, excessive intoxication, illegal activity, or disorderly conduct will not be tolerated. ● Management reserves the right to remove any camper or guest who disrupts the enjoyment or safety of others. ● Campground facilities are for registered campers and their approved guests only.

2. Quiet Hours & Peaceful Enjoyment

● Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 7AM CT. ● During quiet hours, noise must be kept to a minimum, including voices, music, televisions, generators, and vehicles. ● At all times, sound should not be audible beyond your campsite. ● Repeated noise complaints may result in removal from the campground with no refund.

3. Vehicle, Traffic & Speed Limits

Guests may have as many vehicles as will safely and fully fit within the boundaries of their rented campsite. Any vehicle or equipment parked outside the guest’s rented lot space is strictly prohibited. Unauthorized parking will result in: ● A $500 fee per vehicle ● Immediate towing at the owner’s expense

Vehicle Placement Rules

● All vehicles must: ○ Fit entirely within the rented campsite ○ Not block roads, fire lanes, utilities, neighboring sites, or common areas ● Overflow parking is not permitted ● Parking on grass, empty sites, or roadways is prohibited

Prohibited Parking

The following are not allowed outside the rented lot: ● ATVs / UTVs ● Boats or boat trailers ● Utility trailers ● Additional vehicles beyond the campsite capacity ● Any vehicle stored overnight outside the campsite

Enforcement Process

● Campground staff may issue one verbal or written warning at their discretion ● Vehicles remaining out of compliance may be: ○ Assessed a $500 violation fee ○ Towed immediately without further notice at the vehicles owner's expense

Fees & Towing

● Violation Fee: $500 per vehicle ● Towing: ○ Performed by a third-party towing company ○ All towing, storage, and retrieval costs are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner ● Fees will be: ○ Charged to the guest’s account ○ Or collected prior to departure

Guest Responsibility

● Guests are responsible for: ○ Informing visitors of this policy ○ Ensuring all vehicles remain within their rented lot ● Ignorance of the policy does not exempt guests from fees or towing

4. ATV / UTV / Recreational Vehicle Policy

● Use of ATVs/UTVs must comply with campground rules and local/state regulations. ● Helmets and safety equipment are strongly encouraged where applicable. ● No riding after quiet hours. ● No off-trail riding, spinning tires, or damage to campground property. ● Campground management may restrict or revoke ATV/UTV privileges at any time.

5. RV Registration, Tabs & Licensing (Seasonal Campers)

● All seasonal campers are required to maintain current and valid RV registration, license plates, and registration tabs at all times. ● Proof of current registration may be requested by campground management. ● RVs with expired plates or tabs may be subject to: ○ Written notice ○ A deadline for compliance ○ Removal from the campground if not corrected ○ $500.00 fine. ● This policy applies to all motorized RVs and towable units requiring registration.

6. Campsite Use & Occupancy

● Campsites are limited to the number of people specified at booking. ● Only one RV unit per site unless otherwise approved. ● Tents, additional vehicles, or structures must be approved by management. ● Campsites must be kept clean, orderly, and free of clutter. ● Permanent or semi-permanent structures are not allowed unless approved in writing.

7. Trash & Waste Disposal Policy

● Trash must be placed in designated dumpsters or receptacles. ● Do not leave trash outside overnight or unattended. ● No dumping of: ○ Household furniture ○ Appliances ○ Construction materials ○ Hazardous waste ● Sewage, gray water, and black water must be disposed of properly at approved dump stations only. ● Dumping waste on the ground or into fire pits is strictly prohibited.

8. Fire Safety & Fire Pit Rules

● Fires are permitted only in designated fire rings or pits. ● Fires must never be left unattended. ● Fires must be fully extinguished before leaving the site or going to bed. ● Fire bans issued by local or state authorities must be followed immediately. ● Only firewood purchased locally or approved by management may be used (to prevent invasive pests).

9. Pet Policy

● Leash Requirement: Pets must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times when outside your RV or vehicle. This aligns with standard rules at most North Dakota campgrounds, such as those enforced by the North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department. ● Supervision: Pets may not be left unattended outside your RV at any time, including in pens or tied to trees/tables. If left inside your RV, they must not cause disturbances (e.g., excessive barking). ● Clean-Up: Owners are responsible for immediately cleaning up after their pets in all areas of the campground. ● Number of Pets: A maximum of 3 pets per site is allowed. ● Restricted Areas: Pets are not permitted in any campground buildings, restrooms, or shared facilities. ● Behavior and Breeds: Pets must be friendly and non-aggressive. We reserve the right to restrict certain breeds commonly considered high-risk or any pet showing aggressive behavior. ● .Health Requirements: All pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies). Proof may be requested upon check-in. ● Quiet Hours: Excessive noise from pets is not tolerated, especially during quiet hours (e.g., 10 PM to 7 AM). ● Liability: Owners are fully responsible for any damage, injury, or disturbance caused by their pets. Failure to comply with this policy may result in additional fees, eviction without refund, or a ban from future stays.

Pet Rates

• Daily Rate: $4 per pet per night (up to 3 pets; no charge for service animals with documentation). • Seasonal Rate: $25 per pet per season (flat fee, up to 3 pets). Rates are subject to change and do not include taxes.

10. Children & Guest Responsibility

● Parents/guardians are responsible for the supervision and behavior of their children at all times. ● Children must observe quiet hours and campground rules. ● Campers are responsible for the actions and conduct of their guests. ● All guests must comply with campground policies.

11. Alcohol, Drugs & Illegal Activity

● Alcohol consumption must comply with local and state laws. ● Public intoxication, underage drinking, or illegal drug use is prohibited. ● Firearms, fireworks, and explosives are prohibited unless otherwise permitted by law and campground management.

12. Property Damage & Liability

● Campers are responsible for any damage caused by themselves, their guests, pets, or vehicles. ● Campground is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property. ● Campers use campground facilities at their own risk.

13. Weather, Emergencies & Evacuation

● Campers are responsible for monitoring weather conditions. ● Management may require evacuation or relocation for safety reasons. ● No refunds will be issued due to weather unless required by law or stated otherwise.

14. Rule Enforcement & Management Rights

● Campground management reserves the right to interpret, enforce, and modify rules as necessary. ● Violations may result in: ○ Verbal or written warnings ○ Fines ○ Immediate removal without refund ● These rules apply equally to all campers, including seasonal and long-term stays.

15. Agreement & Acknowledgment

By booking a campsite, the camper acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to comply with all campground rules and policies.
