Oldest of West Virginia's state forests, Seneca borders the beautiful Greenbrier River in Pocahontas County. The forest offers pioneer guest cabins; a four(4) acre lake for trout, bass and bluegill fishing; a small campground and 11,684 acres of lush woodlands for hiking, hunting or communing with nature. The lake and forest are named after the Indian tribe which once roamed the area. Seneca's large size and modest development make it a great place to find peace and solitude.

This old COE CG is on Percy Priest lake with most of it's RV sites on the lake and a large forested tent camping area, sans hookups, on the hill. Most RV sites are shady but many are short and/or hard to get into. The CG was built on a hill. The sites offer some privacy and some are totally private. The whole CG is set in a natural old forest. Like almost all COEs, there is no sewer hookups at the sites. There is nothing there for children, not even a swing set. There is a boat launch ramp. Shopping is close at either LaVergne or Smyrna. There are the usual picnic tables and fire rings. It's a dog friendly CG but keep them leashed, keep them quiet and pick up the poop or they'll ask you to leave. It's a nice peaceful place for adults to take it easy and enjoy a campfire. :) - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
