Lots of friendship here for sure! All back-in sites with good power and water. The campground is on the shores of the Penobscot Bay with about a dozen sites right opposite the waterfront. Ocean breezes are wonderfully accepted here during those warm July nights; you won't need the A/C here! A huge tent is erected nearby, but is not an eyesore at all. This is where they serve real down east LOBSTA bakes approved by the Food Channel. A dump station is on the road on the way out. Truly a nice place to stay and tour the shores of Maine. Lots to do in the area with The Searsport Marine Museum, the Fort Knox and the Penobscot Narrows Bridge Observatory. The CG is on US Rte. 1 about 1.5 miles out of town to the south. Fort Knox and the Penobscot Narrows Bridge are not to be missed and are about 10 miles N off US Rte. 1. They are in the same location with one ticket for both for about $5/person. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
