Leaf Verde has gone down hill since Scott' s Family sold out. It WAS our first choice for all winter long. Family friendly is ok but if people would CONTROL their kids it would be great! Also need signs in restrooms designating HANDICAPPED. Too often I have to wait for someone who is NOT handicapped to use the shower or the toilet.

I LOVE this park. Scott Swanson, one of the owners, makes this a fun park to visit and to workkamp. They're motto should be "if you aren't having a great time then you are dead." They offer the same "basic" amenities as the larger parks we visited such as an extremely clean restroom/shower house, a large billiards and tv room, a convenience store onsite complete with Leaf Verde's house wine for sale, the cutest dog park I've seen. They have an absolutely HUGE recreation hall called "The Barn" where they have lots of activities during the winter season that the full time activities' director comes up with. They are well known for their pool area which is pristine and very inviting. For those of you who are looking for a park with mobility accessibility, this is the park you want to go to. While it's not fully compliant its VERY accessible and Scott is working hard to make it compliant. Most of the sites are long (pull throughs) and the north end sites have beautiful views of the "mountains". It's an easy 30 minute drive to the greater Phoenix area as well. This campground vies for the #1 spot on my favorites list. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
