The Salmon Run Campground is located at the Heron Lake State Park and is a great place to connect with nature. The lake is designated as a "quiet lake," so no wake-speeds are permitted among boat operators. This means visitors can enjoy peaceful paddle boarding, canoeing and kayaking excursions, as well as fishign for trout and salmon. In the winter months, ice fishing and cross crountry skiing are popular, so plan for that! On land, campers can enjoy hiking the great trails, biking, pinicking and wildlife viewing. Keep an eye out for black bears, elk, mule deer, bald eagles and osprey.
Amenities at the park include: group shelter, toilets, showers, water, RV dump station, a marina, boating dock, developed campsites and RV hookups. We can't wait for you to visit and start your adventure!
