We really wanted to love this place but unfortunately management made that impossible. The campground it self was nice and the others campers around us we're very friendly. Upon check in we let them know we would be going in and out at we came up to attend a friends wedding. They were fine with that, when we dropped our camper they same way we do at home with the table under for added security, and went to leave we were stopped and scolded by the owner. We were told then that we could not leave our camper as it was an eye sore and that we were lucky they let us in in the first place because they have people with $50,000 rigs in here and our stuff isn't nice enough. Well we decided at that point to go to a different camp ground instead. They would not refund us even though we only stayed one night. We camp alot at a variety of camp grounds and no one has ever had a problem with us because our stuff wasn't nice enough. We were quiet and respectful the whole time we were there. I admit we do have an older camper and truck but that is our choice as my husband prefers older things. I would say unless you have an expensive flashy rig don't bother camping here.

Rude, condescending and completely disrespectful. These owners were extremely insulting. Unless you have a $50,000 rig, you will not be welcome here. My brother and his wife reserved a site for the weekend for a wedding they were attending in bemidji. After the first night, the owner scolded my brother and insulted him, saying his truck camper was an "eyesore to the other campers with $50,000 rigs" and basically told my brother that they didn't even want to let him stay there the first night. So my brother decided it was time to leave, he was not welcome here. Upon leaving he asked for his money back for the second night since he wouldn't be staying, and they refused to give him his money back. Evidently his camper was not good enough for the owners, but his money was. I would never recommend this place as no one deserves to be treated so poorly.

Quiet park just outside the city. 3 mi to Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox park, 14 mi to Lake Itasca Mississippi head waters. Park is FHU mostly back in with a few pull through, cable is available ($), Sat can be done but only in certain sites with a portable antenna. Very shady, just off 197/US2, no noticeable traffic noise. 2 fuel stations very close. Space for awnings and parking for tow/toad is easy art your site. Great owners on site, small camp store with some necessities. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
