campground is located just off Rt 16 - notes: 1) Checking in was confusing since there are no signs. Simply drive past the front group of campers and past the Robin Hood sign and you will arrive at the office that is next to the pool.2) Many seasonal sites w/appx 40 sites for other campers. While seasonal campgrounds usually get a bad rap this CG was well kept. Staff were very helpful and kind. A staff member will drive you to your site.3) We stayed 9-2 to 9-5, 2016. Sites are medium in size, neighbors are close depending on your site, allow RV and tent camping, sites are fairly level gravel sites, back in sites, front sites are subject to direct sun since trees are not mature yet. Roads are gravel based. Most sites have 30 amp and water hookups; few FHU sites, some sites had picnic tables and fire rings (ours had electric, water, sewer, fire ring, and picnic table). There are two bath houses (one is near the office - other is back in the woods in the middle of seasonal sites) but the one by the office was very clean. Amenities include a small pavilion, swimming pool, arcade, playground, store, golf carts, pedal carts, and a dump station. Pets are allowed on a leash. Wifi available. We stayed over Labor Day and they had a movie on Friday and karaoke on Saturday. Firewood available on site. Maintenance and RV maintenance nearby. Reservations can be requested on line, but not confirmed on line. We had to call and follow up to confirm and pay. Very reasonably priced. Would say it is ok for 1 to 2 nights if you are visiting the area and not in the campground very much. 4) The only negative was the golf carts. They really rent too many so there were always carts (mostly with kids) ripping up and down the gravel roads.5) Shelbyville Lake is nearby as well as the dam. Very pretty. Local town is small but rich in history. Market and wal-mart available in town. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
