We were just overnight, on way from Iowa to Rio Grande Valley. Did not want to unhook pickup from our travel trailer and they provided a pull through site. Was ideal, with level cement pad - no leveling needed. Little noise from the Interstate nearby, but ideal for us. Would recommend.

Unfortunately had the worst experience! The supposedly manager was extremely rude! Started first with 2nd day my wife’s Tahoe was parked about a foot on the grass! And manager comes to me waiving his finger at me like I was a child saying” I told you no parking on the Grass! I knew you were going to be a problem “ I normally don’t let people talk to me like that but I held back and said ok! Mind you I was there with my wife and 3 kids trying to enjoy our time! We do not drink and kept our are clean and noise down! So then the next day I pull my truck over by the boat launch area to unload our canoes and fishing equipment and guess who comes along yelling at me again waiving his finger! Saying” I have told you already you aren’t supposed to be parked there! You are nothing but Trouble! “ I obviously have had enough of his disrespect and raised my voice and said we are unloading our canoes and fishing equipment! During me telling him this he said for me to watch myself because he would kick me the fuck out of there! So then I was no pissed and asked for owner or manager and he laughed and said he was the man! I then went to call 911 about this! Mind you my 2 young boys were crying by then! Before the police get there the owner happens to show up and I am explaining the situation and this mans rude threatening behavior and owner sides with him! The police show up and the officer said he would also been pissed if this had happened to him and his family! But it’s private property and they “ the owner and manager” call the shots! So the told us they did not want us staying there the rest of our stay! So officers said we had to leave! They did return a half day fee to us for the extra day! But for some reason did not return the total fee! Extremely unprofessional and vulgar man! This is not the way you treat people! Especially families trying to go have a good time and mind our own Buisness! I am a General contractor and My Wife. Realtor we are professional people and treat people right! Needless to say we will tell everyone about this and discourage anyone from staying there! We have our own Jeep club and belong to all the clubs around San Antonio and sad to say the owner and this man are both keepers! We will defend be on the look out for you and stead the word about the way you run your Buisness! ..... oh also he told my wife he just did not like me cause I was Mexican 😡

The scenery here is literally breathtaking. There is not enough photos of this place to show how much more there is to see. You have to book a spot to see what else this beautiful spot has to offer. Not only is it affordable there is so much to do and see that it ends up feeling like there isn’t more that can be done on how little that was spent. It’s a great feeling to get my money’s worth out of a campground and this one really hit the spot. I don’t think I will ever forget this camps beauty, really makes me want to bring my family back to camp again and again. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
