The Red Oak Ranch RV Park is located in the beautiful town of Hempstead, and is a great spot for an authentic southern vacation. Campers can look forward to a number of attractions just beyond the campground including: the George Bush Presidential Library, Lick Creek Park and Central Park which is an excellent spot for canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, boating and fishing. John Crompton Park and Bee Creek Park are another two well-known parks, and locals and visitors alike flock to the J. Wayne Stark Galleries. Apart from these attractions, travelers can enjoy a number of museums and excellent local restaurants. Amenities at the park include: big rig access, pull thrus, water, sewerage, WIFI and 30/50 amp sites. Hope to see you soon!

This is a VERY rustic campground with VERY little to NO ongoing maintenance. The entrance road will jar your teeth loose due to an overabundance of potholes. All roads and sites are gravel, they do not take credit cards. Item #16 in the park rules concerning RV areas being clean and neat is violated on several sites, water connections are below ground which tends toward water connections filling with dirt, leaves and litter. No shade and amenities are minimal, but the campground did provide a place to park for our family event. On a positive note, the campground does have full 5G AT&T connectivity which was a very pleasant surprise. Would not stay here again.

This campground has come a long way and has had many improvements recently! A lot of the facilities and utilities were upgraded, the amenities were more than what we could ask for in the price we were paying for the site. The sites were very spacious, some had pull thrus and a lot of them had full hookups. All of them are level with gravel and are all well maintained. I enjoyed the activities they had as it was really relaxing for my entire family to choose what they enjoy doing. The location was great as there were many places that were local and din’t take long to get food, or whatever else we needed. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
