Purtis Creek Campground

Overview

The Purtis Creek Campground is located in the beautiful and quiet Texas town of Eustace, and is a great place for a relaxing southern vacation. Campers can look forward to a host of excellent onsite activities such as fishing, hiking, biking, canoeing and kayaking. There's also plenty of space for geocaching, picnicking, sunset viewing and stargazing.; with such a pristine and breathtaking environment, many just relax by the waterside and sunbathe. There is a no-wake limit on the lake, so campers are guaranteed a peaceful campground to enjoy. Travelers can look forward to beach access, a boat ramp, water, 30 amp sites, restrooms, showers, big rig access and tent camping.

Nice little park with low price. Basic sites with no trees but a nice view of the water. Electric, but water spigots say non-potable. No dump station on site. Directed to use dump station a few blocks away but they charge an additional $10 to dump even if you paid for a site. Main issue is that there’s a freight train depot right next door so trains go by a number of times and some stop and unhook cars early in the morning and bang around quite a lot; very noisy.

Great park area with water access (beach and boat launch), fields, dog park. RV site was large, no trouble finding or getting to our site. As listed - water is non-potable.
