Nestled among juniper and pinion trees in the Gila National Forest, the Pinion Campground is a great place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life and enjoy a quiet getaway. A few sites even have a view of the Quemado Lake which is gorgeous at sunrise. Keep your eyes open for elk as your explore the forest and feel free to make your own trail as you hike and bike. The Pinion Access Trail is a popular trail to hike, and know that the biking trails are open and intermediate in difficulty. Also be sure to look up at dawn to see the spectacular New Mexico sky as it explodes daily with red and oranges.
