Wanna live in a real life shit show? Come here to this campground! Full of junkies and drinks! I currently live here now. This place is absolute shit. The managers Mark and Wendy do not do anything around the campground. Besides harass campers for an extra $100 being added onto lot rent. Last week during the state of emergency snow storm we had Wendy ( a “ manager “ ) knew the well needed water chose not to go get it refilled once the roads were cleared up she decided to wait an extra day. They own the electric company money and that’s why we went a extra day without power DURING STATE OF EMERGENCY. A neighbor Had a generator running, got asked to turn it off in the middle of the night with below freezing temperatures. They let junkies live here for free but the people who actually pay their rent they harass for their money but don’t have a set date for rent money to be due. Just calls you every week. We had a payment agreement with the manager Mark , saying $200 a week for 4 weeks him and Wendy both denied taking our rent money EVEN after Mark texted me saying the agreed payment was $200. Then they say no payments okay cool, but try to say we haven’t paid for almost 3 months when I have the receipt and so does the owner! We went a month without hot water in the community bathhouse.

I have been coming to this beautiful spot on the river for years & I can honestly say it is going nowhere but up. The NEW management team is wonderful, so helpful & accomodating. They were left with quite a mess by the former embezzeling management & their friends. The cancer of this place has been evicted & sooooo much clean up has taken place. Yes, the roads are a challenge right now but you cannot control the wet weather & all of the equipment was stolen. You can see a couple of dedicated guys repairing the roads by hand when weather permits. There are now so many new faces both full time campers & “weekend” campers. Everyone is smiling & you can see a really great community coming together

I have been coming to the campsite for 20+ years. I am so disappointed in the direction the camp is going. The roads are barely passible, there was no one to check us in and when I finally found the camp assistant manager, she was rude, disrespectful and talked down to us. I was simply amazed that Katie would allow this woman to run her business. I happened to look her up and she is a career criminal. She asked me to write the check out to her Laura Connolly or Pam Rogers. What the hell is that about. I finally found Katie and paid her directly and she looked like she was strung out. I know Ms. Eby would be so disappointed.

My family stayed at Patuxent Campsite for a week while we were waiting to transition to our home in VA. I was skeptical at first after reading all the negative reviews. However, I am so glad we decided to stay. The staff could have not been more friendly or helpful. We had some issues putting our trailer on one of the top lots, they immediately accommodated us and got us moved to a more convenient lot. I would highly recommend Patuxent Camp Site and we can not wait to come back in the Summer to stay for a few weeks.

Unfortunately the lowest option is 1 star because this place deserves a ZERO all around. The NEW management is driving this place into the ground. Make sue you have a 4 WHEEL drive or be prepared to have to replace your suspension to come into the campground because the amount of unfixed potholes is ridiculous. The bathhouse is a dump and grossly dirty. The owner and Asst Manager is strung out on pills. If your a drug addict, this is your spot. Even though the police are often called, you can find any drug you may want. Not to mention the Campground is running illegally since they have no business license.

Stayed here twice this year and have never been so disappointed on the last visit. Never knew they did not have laundry room until i went to search for it. Place has really gone down hill.

Campground looks like a dump and there are no laundry facilities like it says. Abandoned vehicles everywhere. Campers are in poor shape that are there.

Wonderful place. First visited in 2014, with a kayak and a tent. Bought a used RV the next year and rented a waterfront site (seasonal) adjacent to the boat launching dock. A bad storm blew the roof off the RV in April 2016. Bought another newer camper to replace it in May 2016, and have been living here full-time ever since. It’s not the most modern, but it’s MORE than adequate for the “retirement and peaceful” lifestyle that I have adopted for my twilight years. PROS Peaceful and quiet, especially during the weekdays and off-season Majority of the folk staying “seasonal” or “full-time” are friendly, helpful, and community oriented. No visible/verifiable criminal activity CONS No sewer system at every site. Black and grey water has to be released into a tank, and taken to a dumping station (2) Not enough 50 amp sites available

Health Dept needs to take a gander of the campground. Violations are many and can’t believe how this place stays in business. So with that said God Bless those folks being paid for those BS good reviews..

Camp Ground is not too bad but a correction is they have NO laundry facilities and the OWNER now wants ALL RENT to be paid by CHECK no CASH will be accepted. If the Assistant Manager refuses to take tell her it is against the law to refuse and you are following the owners instructions

I love this little place! There have been so many improvements in the past 2 years, its like a whole new campground! Management is friendly & helpful, they have installed gates to keep out the rifraf, those wanting to use the boat ramp for free, those that cause trouble & just all around trouble makers. The recent bad reviews are friends of a full time resident who was evicted because he is a pervert (taking pictures of women & children coming out of the bath house), drove around taking pictures of vehicles & RV’s and threatened management & guests. I applaud management for the actions they have taken, they truly provide a great atmosphere.

The campground is a beautiful place. The management is very helpful. Miss Renee is very pleasant n professional. Read all the other reviews, couldn't understand all the negativity. Sounds to me, if you where evicted must have done something wrong. Everyone helps everyone n itd more like family. Wouldn't have a problem coming back, love camping here.

This is a well maintained campground. The staff was very friendly and showed us to our site. The staff even asked, after we were set up, if we needed anything. We asked for a fire ring and they delivered one to us. Everyone was very helpful. I would definitely recommend this campground to anyone.

Small campground on the Patuxent River. Located off of route 4 south, close to Solomon's Island. This campground is not for campers looking for amenities. They have a bathhouse, not very good condition, and not cleaned every day. There is a pier, so if you like to crab or fish, bring your boat. The manager is a little creepy. He is never available to handle any issues, and when we went to pay for our stay, he was never around to collect the money, so we ended up leaving without paying. No office to speak of. There are alot of seasonal campers at this campground. All sites on the water are taken. Doesn't seem to be a very well maintained campground. No security, no playground, no nothing, except for unmowed sites and alot of drunk seasonals. Not a family campground at all. I would not recommend this campground to anyone. CASH ONLY!!! NO CREDIT CARDS EXCEPTED. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
