Panther Valley RV Park

I wouldn't recommend this RV park to my worst enemy.

I agree w/the last review. I’ve lived here for about 3years. I think that last review was written before the last manager (if that’s what you want to call him) Eric was fired. He was a real piece of work. There is now a spouse team managing the place. They have really tried, and have probably done the best they could w/out the owner giving them proper support they need to do an adequate job. The manager tries to do his best, but there is sooooooo much to do that he can’t do everything. I had sewer issues too. The pipes are old and just crumble and collapse in certain places.its pretty gross. And instead of getting the ground properly treated afterwards, they just leave it, or try to get by with sprinkling on some lime. I sure quite a few of us could and should have notified the health department, but where else would we go? The cost of living is crazy in Reno. And the traffic in the North Valleys is so insane now and just going to get worse. I know of some of the new people moved into spots that were not ready, and needed to be cleaned up. And the new people were told that mang. Would clean up the lot still, but they never did. I thought I would have more stuff stolen, but as of yet only a bike and a brand new shovel. Within know sucks, but considering the look of the park…… Some items in the store have been in there so long that they are as stale as they could possibly be. The new managers do plow regularly when it does snow now. There are some real doozy places here. People live living in trailers that are falling apart, and are held together by super glue and duct tape. But I find it hilarious how now they say bring can only be like 20 yrs old to be here. Meanwhile some people have literally dug and built their own plumbing, and built little shed onto their rigs by taking out a wall of a trailer! Totally illegal, but not an oddity here!! But again, the price is right. And there is literally nothing to choose from here in Reno

i have lived in this park for 5 years and have been subjected to being stuck in a space that the sewer backed up knee deep for 3 weeks and was lied to by maintenance that a space i chose to move to had a deposit on it when it didnt. i was forced to pay rent for that month. and no appoligies. they sent 3 people to tell me it was clean water like i was a stupid woman. it was caused by a womans sewer down the street that needed to be snaked but she was refused it because she was behind in her rent. i was finally allowed to move after three weeks of sitting in sewer water. another thing is that i worked for them in the store for a year and a half and gave them w2,2 3 times but never got a paper check. i was paid cash and usally only half of my pay one day never on pay day and then a few days later on the rest after asking and asking for it over and over. then i sold them my pickup a 1995 chev silverauto 3/4 ton worth 10,000 dollars for 3,500 because they needed a truck for the park after all the ones they had were trashed. they ended up giving me 1,600 of it and a year and a half later they still havnt paid the rest and have not lisenced or registerd it or insured it. and they have distroyed it. the mgr said its not worth 300 dollars now. they told me if i move out and leave my place clean they will give it back to me on my way out. they have accused me of subletting my place. even on legal paperwork. its not true. this place is always flooding with open sewer. the streets are very dark no lights. the streets are full of ruts big enough to mess up vehicle alinements. there are no rest room facilities. at all the store that was once a busy little place that friends gatherd in is now no loitering and their really isnt anything to buy but beer. which suits the new management fine. because they drink and party at night and close the store all times of the day at will. the store is a mail hub for the park and not only does their activitys effect the mail carriers it effects the residents all the time. seniors get meds delivered by mail and they get their meds sent back because they cant be delivered. now they are renting out as many spaces as they can knowing the power grid here is from the 1950,s and we still have the old glass screw in fuses in the electric shack. there are 16 toilets on this property and 14 showers that people have been using for over 50m years that they have no access to and havnt had for a year. because they dont want to fix them. the roof fell in on one resident in the mens room on christmas 2021 and has been locked down every since. now they have raised every ones rent up to 525.00 plus electric which they have no idea how to calculate usage. and over charge people they want to chase out of here. there are many more issues going on here at panther valley RV park they dont snow plow here and its very dangerous driving in here. in many ways. and now they are evicting me for non payment of rent. i tried to make them pay off my pickup by witholding rent for 3 months and they gave me a pay or quit notice. so i talked to the mgrs wife and she told me to come and pay it up on the first of the month when i get paid and i tried to pay 4 days before christmas but they were closed and remained closed for 5 more days and when they opend back up i went in to pay and they refused my payment. and i had all of the rent for what was behind plus the next month and all their extra charges. they told me to call their attorney and when i did he said my 10 day notice to pay or quit had lapsed the day before now their evicting me and it costs 208.00 dollars to file my paperwork at the court. that notice is for 21 days. please dont consider ever moving in here unless you want to be totally disrespected and have your life turned upside down by thieves and liers looking only for money to line their pockets. not to fix and better this place. many of us love it here because we are a little comunity that has grown together. only to be abused and treated like dirt under their feet.

I have lived here for 6 years plus and it was ok up until they hired a tier3 sex offender with crimes against children under the age of 14 so after this man was Lea-ring over my wife and my disabled child and my grandchildren I set out to make others aware especially management this man even hurt one of my grandchildren however because of the support he got from another tenant and an employee (who works weekends in the store) this man was allowed to remain in the park that has several children and because of this myself and my family have been harassed and pushed out of our home because all of a sudden I’m in violation of park rules so if you plan to or do live here do not expect fair treatment unless you support a grown man looking to Lear over little children and who knows what they will allow him to do to children. I highly recommend you do NOT move in here as you may be treated like a bottom feeder. I will seek Leagal retribution for their support of a sex offender and targeting those with disabilities.
