Palouse-Empire County Fairground

I discovered this wonderful campground a few years ago and try to make it back every year! It is (as far as I know) the only year-round campground in that part of the state. If you like camping and going to hit the ski slopes, this is your place. It is well-situated (between Banner Elk and Boone) to enjoy many things to do in the summer as well. There are plenty of spaces for campers of all kinds (including groups), and a variety of cabins to rent. The bathhouses are not deluxe, but sufficient.
