We had an amazing visit, it was great having our boat so close to our campsite. The people and staff were very nice.

Our very first night in an RV was spent here and we loved it. We are afraid all other experiences will fair in comparison. Quiet, secluded with spanish moss on huge shade trees right by the water (canal). Clean and free laundry and shower. John provided us with local knowledge regarding where to eat and we found unusual restaurants with fantastic folks who know how to cook seafood. We also experienced and airboat tour which NO ONE SHOULD MISS - truly an unforgetable experience. This place is off the beaten path for a unique authentic experience. Wonderful!

Campground Response

Lily, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. All of our staff strives for excellent customer service. We greatly appreciate the 5 star review and wish you safe travels with your new RV. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Stayed one night. Site was on a canal, beautiful view up and down the canal, lots of fishermen. Very peaceful and quaint; old Florida style. Very nice restaurant within walking distance, friendly people. Would definitely stay here again!

Campground Response

Patricia, thank you for the great review. We look forward to seeing you guys again in the future.

Our family of 4 from New Zealand were undertaking a RV trip around Florida as part of a trip around the USA and had decided to stop near Crystal River to swim with the manatees… we had no idea that campsite and folks from the Ozello marina and campground would become one of the major highlights of our 6 week trip. We had no clue what we had struck when we arrived and there were only a couple of sites. Being from NZ we had never seen a town set out like Ozello before where everyone had a boat and canal outside their house. I talked to the guys at the marina and they set me up with some bait for fishing with kids and also said they did airboat rides so I booked us one the next day. The RV site had a beautiful jetty right on our site where the 4 of us had great fun catching heaps of different fish. We had a fire pit and had wonderful time each evening. After swimming with the manatees (which was great) we thought we’d experienced the best of the crystal river area… man were we wrong!!! The Ozello boys said what do you want to see on the airboat. We’d done a airboat in the Everglades a week earlier which was pretty underwhelming so said just take us for cruise so we can get our heads around the area. They just smiled and said you haven’t experienced a real airboat! The next hour was some of the most exciting, beautiful and incredible experiences of our entire USA trip. Firstly the boat was awesome the kids were absolutely buzzing, then unbeknown to us we were heading out into the Gulf of Mexico. He turned boat off and said let’s see what nature we can see. Within 20 seconds there was shark which swam right near the boat then sting rays and turtles. Saw heaps of all three while dangling our legs in the water off the side of the boat drifting along. We then took off to see what else we could find only to be surrounded by a pod of dolphins with a coupe of babies as well. They chased the boat and played around us for ages before we left them to it. Having been to see dolphins in captivity in Key West earlier this was next level. We wished we had more time to stay and experience Ozello and would just like to say a big thank you for making our stay such a memorable one!!!

Campground Response

David, thank you for the awesome review. We truly enjoyed having you and your family here to experience everything that we have to offer. It is truly an Old Florida experience away from the hustle and bustle of the larger cities throughout the state. Next time you are in the US please feel free to stop by again. we look forward to seeing you and your family during the next adventure.

Awesome place! Extremely small campground with 3 campsite and limited shower facilities but the location is perfect and the owners are super friendly and helpful. I wanted to be close to the Ozello Community boat ramp to launch my kayak and this place is only 4 miles from it. I will happily stay here again.

Campground Response

Thank you for the great review. Our location is perfect for the small-town getaway with easy access to the water for some awesome adventures. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to seeing you again in the future.

It’s a fish camp, not a resort, if you realize that, then it’s actually a pretty good place. Only three spots so no crowding, bathroom and shower are clean and you will need them, because there is NO sewage. No local pump out facilities that are open on the weekend either. Biggest downside for us was it was spring and the live oak trees were dumping copious amounts of whatever is is they drop and the sap etc made a mess out of our RV and car, but that’s a seasonal thing, but maybe worth asking before you go. Wifi was great, TV reception and cell spotty due to it being way out in the boonies, but Verizon did have a signal, just weak.

Not at all what the pictures or description present ! Don’t stay here! I tried to get my $$$ back for 4 days we only stayed 1 night due to the camping area! Dump station is 15-20 minutes away from campground but in the information given when checked in it clearly states central dump station. Bathrooms and laundry room are total jokes! One bath and shower for 3 sites and not at all respectable plus not at all handicap accessible you need to go up several steps. Pictures are very misleading. I will give the owner a 5 star for marketing because it definitely is NOT 5 stars at all… 1 star tops!

Campground Response

Hi Susan, as you noticed, I didn't respond to your threatening email, which encouraged you to write this review (per the threat you wrote in your email). You told us the day of your arrival that you were checking out because there was no on-site sewer hook-up, which is stated on our website, roverpass, and during online check-out. Our other reviews seem to contradict your slander of our humble little campground. You booked a spot during spring break when we are sold out, so just because the day of you decide you're going to stay elsewhere doesn't mean we are going to break our cancelation policy and lose out on the seasonal revenue we depend on. Sincerely, Gary

Bad owners

Campground Response

Hi Geoff, please allow me to give the full description of your 1-star review. First off, you've never been to our property nor showed up for your reservation. When you booked your spot online, you chose an option provided by Roverpass to take 10% off your total with a zero forgiveness cancelation policy. We nor Roverpass force anyone to do this but instead offer it as an option. Some time passes and you decide you want to cancel and get a refund. We told you we would work with you since the reservation was so far out and then you became impatient and disputed the charge through your credit card company to which we were not able to do anything on our end any further since you disputed the charge. In the meantime, while we were trying to help you, you left us a bad review and made us do a lot of extra work for several errors on your part. Sincerely, Gary

Very tight turn around. You have to back down into the 3 space area. Camper next to us had 8 dogs. Lots of noise from surrounding area as it sits in middle of a neighborhood. Bathroom was not cleaned or stocked in the 4 days we were there and there is only one bath/shower unit.

Campground Response

Cordelia, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. Yes, it's a bit tight to fit into our spots, but that's part of our charm. We are a small, locally owned business that does our best with what we have. The camper next to you was someone who didn't have any other options due to being displaced by the recent hurricane that caused massive flooding throughout our area. We take pride in helping our local residents, that situation was temporary. Most of our guests stay a week and then move onto a different destination. Typically, with having so few RV slots, our single bathroom is usually sufficient. We are sure that if you gave us another chance we could satisfy your needs for a nice peaceful stay.

Staff and owners are very personable hosts that make you feel like family during your stay. I was concerned about the damage from hurricane Idalia (approximately 1 month ago) as to whether our long weekend trip was possible. The main building and property had more than 3’ of water causing considerable damage. However, they hustled and were able to provide full surface before our arrival. Thank you OKM for making our long weekend trip a success!!! This small facility is perfect for the shallow saltwater angler! Easy access to the St. Martins River and Ozello area, a mecca of great inshore angling. Water and electric (30 & 50 amp service), table and chairs, boat ramp, Marina community fish cleaning station with water, boat dockage, live and frozen bait at the marina, small tackle store with area fishing necessities, ice, some drinks and snacks. The owners and staff are extremely accommodating. Even the local guides that work-out of the marina answer questions about the area fishing. However, they don’t give out their gps coordinates of their “hot spots”! Even though they have been working diligently rebuilding the marina from damage from Hurricane Idalia, they still present the happy, laid back, and helpful persona of a true “mom and pop” business. just don’t park in front of the bait tank! My only regret is not being able to stay longer! Thank you Ozello Keys Marina!

Campground Response

Ken, you said everything that needs to be said about our little oasis. We are extremely grateful for the 5 stars!!

Gary, Billy, Sean, and Aubrey were 1st class people who went out of their way to show me and my family a wonderful time during our Memorial day weekend stay. Hospitality out of this world where you can see that the owner cares more about taking care of his clients than making a ton of money. This is old florida at its finest and one of the most beautiful places I have ever camped. I will definately come back to this place, can't wait!!!

Campground Response

Small quaint campground and marina. Had a fantastic weekend parked right in front of the dock under a nice shade tree. Quiet relaxing and fun. So close to some great restaurants and book am airboat ride at the office or a fishing trip which we did and had a blast. Very small but was just what I needed for a weekend getaway.

Campground Response

We had a small but quiet spot. Right on the water, boat launch not far away. Clean well-maintained bathroom with shower. Laundry facilities were free. A little tight to back into as we were in the middle of three parking places. 50/30 amp converter supplied free. Helpful staff. Guided us into our spot and brought the converter plug.

Campground Response

Hey Valerie! Thank you so much for the kind words and four-star review!

Quiet and relaxing spot at the very end of a canal! Only 3 spots so not too much noise, foot traffic or actual traffic! Nice they had a one person bathroom and shower right next to camp spot and laundry on site too! A few boats went out each day; cool to see! Tree coverage was so nice over our site! Very much enjoyed our stay!!!!

Campground Response
