Our second month here and since we are from Jacksonville and started full time on July 1, we intend to make this park our home base. We will cover the entire country in our travels but will return to Flamingo from time to time. The staff and work campers are all friendly and knowledgeable. The on site restaurant, really diner, has well prepared food and a good variety. It is right on the lake and a joy to sit and watch the swimmers and chat with good neighbors. A walk all around the lake is good for you and a whole world of different RVs. The office has drinks for sale and an assortment of RV accessories and 7/11 type foods along with firewood. It is nationally rated as a Gold camp ground in the Best category. It is a Good Sam park with weekly and monthly rates. Oh what a campground to visit! My entire family had the best time we have had in a very long time. I am so happy we decided to come here for the night. First impressions are everything and the staff did an impeccable job in maintaining great customer service and also very responsible. The park was always clean which was nice to see. The water activities were the best out of everything this place had to offer. My boys spent hours in the water and never wanted to leave. You know it’s a great place when there is so much to do at such a great price in a beautiful location.
