We call this RV parking "Sea Cliffs." It is technically a Ventura County park and functions on those rules. Basically, it is just 127 spaces of RV parking (no hookups), in a line, down the coastline just above a beach, located on Hwy 1 off the Ventura Fwy. We absolutely loved our trips to this area. We woke up daily to dolphin watching in the distance, as well as watching pelicans dive for their breakfast. Across the highway, the trains run, but never bothered us. From the RV parking, you can make your way down to the beach (look for the actual access points, unless you're up for the challenge of climbing in and among the boulders that separate you from the beach) and go swimming, take the dog for a walk, etc. There are no fire rings (not sure if fire was allowed at all), only 1 RV and 1 non-RV per site, $1 charge per dog, $27.00 per day, per site at time of this review. Also, it operates on a first come, first serve basis - no reservations. Mid-week and non-holidays seem to yield the best results for finding a spot.
