Mather Campground

Market Plaza Rd, Grand Canyon, AZ, 86023

Seated beneath a large canopy of Ponderosa Pine is the Mather Campground in the Grand Canyon National Forest. It's located on the South Rim of the Canyon, offering campers breathtaking views and plenty of space and fresh air. Campers can look forward to hiking the Kaibab and Bright Angels Trails, or take a day trip to the Norther Rim to view the sunrise from the Watchtower. The Tusayan Museum and Indian Ruins are also an option for curious campers, and are excellent representations of the culture and peoples that lived in the area over 800 years before. Nearby are a number of excellent museums, restaurants and shops, as well as a trading post at the Watchtower, so there's plenty of opportunities for campers to immerse themselves in the present-day local culture! Amenities at the park include: a dump station, horse corrals, showers, picnic tables, restrooms, grills, grocery store, hand pump, ice machines and group cooking stations. Hope to see you soon!
