Stuart greeted us as we drove up! Very nice, clean park! Gave us some ideas for dinner in Salmon! We drove from Challis to this park and it is a gorgeous drive!

It's the end of September and we had a wonderful two day stay here. The drive north on id-93 along the Salmon river was spectacular. There were many National Forest designated camping spots along the rive, but Elk Bend was a full-hookup at the right location. We hiked Goldbug hot springs. The payoff was awesome. It was 80F with 60F in the forecast. The dusty mule was a great greasy spoon for burgers and salads. The coin laundry at campground was clean. No change machine. The utilities were updated and in great working order. The sites were spacious. Half were gravel, and the other was well maintained grass. Road noise was never an issue. We would stay again.
