We spent one week here and enjoyed our stay tremendously. Driving into campground, it had a very home-like feel to it and we were immediately comfortable. There was a hiccup with the septic tank – evidently it had rained before we arrived and the influx of people over the holiday weekend limited the capacity, HOWEVER, we were very comfortable and found the owners to be responsive to their camper’s needs; contacted them via text message at 10:30 at night and they responded right away. Was impressed with the amount of activities that were planned for families – no additional fees were required, since that was included with the holiday rate, which was only $5/day additional. Showers were hot and clean, wash/dry is approx. 3.25/load. Be aware that they have limited FHU sites, but do offer free use of ‘dump buckets’ or their son will do it for $15 (no matter the volume). Also offers Passport America for 3 nights; we spent 7 nights here and the PA price and additional holiday weekend, we averaged $27/night. Finally, the campground is well-situated distance wise to many FREE attractions. We did the free tour of Notre Dame campus, approx. 25 mins away, tour was about 1.5 hours long and absolutely stunning. Also, the Newmar RV Factory, approx. 25 mins away, this tour was also 1.5 hours long and AMAZING to see RV built from the ground up (also interesting is the amount of Amish men working there). Also, the Indiana Dunes National Seashore, approx. 1 hour, packed a picnic, climbed the dunes and enjoyed Lake Michigan. The only entrance fee we had was at the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, approx. 1 hour away, which was $7 per person. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
2/10/2017Thanks for the positive review. Since you stayed with us a few things have changed. The sewer issue that we found out the previous owner had band-aid fixed is now fixed correctly. We no longer accept PA discount but I can't seem to update that on this particular website. And we have opened up many more full hook-up sites for nightly and week long people. Safe travels.
