Long Key Campground

Mile marker 70 on Overseas Hwy=70 miles north of Key West. We are staying here the month of Jan, 2016 in our motorhome & would never stay here again. This used to be a KOA but now Encore & Thousand Trails. Pictures of it look nice but sites are extremely close together & wet & muddy with rains. We asked for some gravel to fill in a little where our car is parked & were told cooperate didn't approve $$$ for it. There's lots of fixin-up that needs to be done to make it a resort. Lots of people riding around on golf carts but can't see any work going on except trash pick-up. There are cottages, new & old, plus motel-type rooms ( that are quite out-dated). There is a marina for resort members plus a beach for soaking up sun, even though we never saw anyone in the water. There's a nice restaurant on property that is open to the public-there is music there Sat & Sun evenings. There is also a store with food items & fishing equipment.
