My family loves this campsite! There's everything you need for a solid camping trip; the cabins are luxurious with small kitchen areas, nice beds and outside picnic areas. It almost didn't feel like we were in the woods until we went outside and saw the amazing landscape. We got to some great lakes and didn't have a problem catching fish. We also hit the trails which was an absolute MUST for us! Those were pretty nice too, a bit rocky here and there, but nothing an average hiker can't handle. At some point, we actually passed some horse riders on one of our mid-afternoon hikes; it was so cool seeing that! We plan on going every year because it was such an easy camping experience and it's located in a really idyllic part of California. We didn't go to the historic sites like Alvarado Historic Ranch and Museum, but we're hoping to do that pretty soon.
