Stayed every summer at Wawaloam when I was younger(16-20) and it was a blast! Family friendly , simple , unique and the waterslide with old wooden tower was awesome. Thry even had a big rec-hall and store and they really made you feel like family. Then i came back with my own family and it has changed . It's more about money and less about family. So sad. Wish it could've stayed simple. Staff could be friendly if they tried too

RI does not have many RV parks. We stayed at Wawaloam Campground in West Kingston RI, in August of 2011. It is a wooded campground with mostly seasonal campers. All sites are back in. No pull throughs, but they are fairly wide. It does have 30/50 amp sites if you are lucky enough to get one. Not all sites have sewer hookups. The roads are gravel and narrow but we managed to navigate them with our 40 ft Motor Home. There is a small laundry room and a camp store. There is a swimming pool with restroom and showers. For extra fees the kids can play mini golf at an old run down mini golf course or play on the water slide. If you are arriving at the road to the campground from IH95 be aware that the turn onto the road is hairpin.
