Camped here in Sept 13. GS park on Lake Gaston (VA side- I hear the NC side is nicer). Don't remember what we paid. Only stayed a night on our way to Smokey mountains. The GPS took us on an "adventure" into the campground. Look on the site for directions. Paved roads into the park. The look of it was like a "trailer" park. Lots of seasonal trailers that were covered. Site were on concrete pads. Don't think I'd go back. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group

We stayed in the campground 2 nights ago. When you first enter, there are mobile homes. Further in you get to the actual campground which is mostly permanent sites. We were able to see the lake from our campsite, but obstructed view. There are only a few overnight sites and about 10 with sewer. They have a pool ( we didn't use, but looked really nice), a miniature golf course, store and more. Very wooded so provides great... shade. They are working on the place but will take some time. It was built in the 1960's. Most sites are leased by the year but people are not allowed to live there, they have to use as a vacation place. Highly recommended to have reservations and the first night is non refundable. They have a gate that is locked at 10:00. We did enjoy our stay, just one night. Oh, it is located at exit 4 off of I 85 N and is about 5 miles off of interstate. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
