We tent camped during the Balloon Fiesta. Freeway noise was almost intolerable, especially Friday night. Noisy neighbors kept us up half the night on Saturday. We were exhausted by the end of the weekend.

You could not beat the location, and having the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center open on Monday of the Balloon Fiesta was great, we discovered the restaurant there and it was so good we went twice for breakfast. Only a few minutes away from the Balloon launching site was convenient. The downside was we were camping on a dusty lot (I'm from Texas, this was a really dusty lot) with lots of stickers (yeah New Mexico has us beat in Texas for the size and number of stickers per square foot of bare ground), glad we didn't bring our dog. They made Boondock camping easier with the porta potties that were well maintained and there were plenty of them around, plus dump tanks. I'm going to try and get a campsite right next to the Balloon field next trip but if it is anything like this year those are impossible to obtain, what I saw was most of those were on paved parking lots, which would be a nice to have. I would return to this RV campground and I'm glad they made it available a little later, when I started to plan for this trip I couldn't find any place to stay, and then this campground popped up.

We had no issues or concerns, the campsite was what we expected for dry camping. Hosts were available, the packet of information was very helpful and answered any question we may have had. Location was good for us being able to get to Fiesta balloon field.

Great for balloon fiesta, clean portapotty, less crowded than expected. Expensive but not for festival week.

The location of the facility was perfect and it was easy to get anyplace we needed. The staff on site was very helpful and we liked that security went around 24/7. The only recommendation I have is to see if you can do something about the stickers. It was unreal and difficult for our dogs. I know they are hard to treat but I have never seen so many in one place.

Stayed here for Balloon Fiesta. People checking in were great. Very friendly and helpful. The actual camping area is a dusty dirt parking lot that is covered in goat head thorns. There were no hookups and not even a water hose to fill tanks. Not a fun camping experience, but if you need a place to stay for balloon fiesta it does work.

We enjoyed staying at the indian Pueblo RV campground. We received a Welcome package with free coupons and information about the balloon-fest activities. Fenced in area with security patrol. The price for a RV campground, for this time of year is a bargain. I would definitely recommend this RV campground and will come back for sure.

The good: the hosts were amazing, friendly, helpful, and kind. The location is wonderful in the beautiful, well-maintained, safe Pueblo Cultural Center. The bad: this is an extremely dusty piece of desert with tiny rocks and burrs that stick to your shoes and are painful to dogs. The dust gets everywhere. There is not one single square foot of grass in the entire "campground." You are dry camping: no facilities or hookups of any kind. We were prepared for that (motorhome) but we were not prepared for the horrible grounds and dust. Our princess puppy won't pee in the dust and burrs. If you decide to go for it, and you have a dog, ask for a spot near the entrance so you can walk your dog a good ways away on the far side of the nearby hotel. You'll still have to walk through the burrs and rocks, but it won't be as long of a walk. We stayed 2 days only as a last resort. We didn't realize that 4 months ahead of time was not enough time for making reservations for the Balloon Fiesta. So plan a year ahead!

An excellent place to be during the ballon festival. Easy in and out. Close to the park & ride if using. Food available with a host always there. We were watching balloons from our chair at the trailer. Camping spaces are close to each other but the price during ballon festival cannot be beat.

Campground Response

Thank for the feedback and review, Rick! We're so glad it was an enjoyable time for you.

As expected an open dirt parking lot to dry camp. Fit our 5 large motorhomes and trailers. Appreciated that there was security that drove through the campsite all day and night. Felt safe with plenty of room and not too tight. Would come back.

Campground Response

Thank you, Tina, for your review and comments. Happy travels!

Great spot to go back-and-forth to the balloon festival. Love the availability of being able to go to the Indian cultural center and all the food and drink available.

Campground Response

Thanks for visiting us and for your helpful comments! We're so glad that we could be that "great spot" for your time here in Albuquerque.

Site was level, quiet, and close to the balloon park at a reasonable price. The only thing was it was an all dirt lot full of goat heads. We had to take our shoes off at the door. After we left we spent hours cleaning the dirt out of our RV.

Campground Response

Thank you for your comments. We are always striving to make things better for our guests and your feedback helps us do that. Safe travels!

Hosts were friendly and location was good for visiting the balloon festival, but would never stay here again. It was very dirty-there was broken glass and stickers(which got all over your shoes and tracked inside-very painful to step on)all over the parking lot. It was just a large parking lot with dirt blowing everywhere. There were also lots of ants and I got several bites on my feet. Only two pit toilets in a far corner of the lot. It was so miserable that we left a day early.

Campground Response

We're very sorry you had a negative experience. We do aim for all of our guests to leave with good experience. Please contact us if you'd like to discuss further via email.

This was not a good experience, it was dusty, there were stickers everywhere, broken glass, biting ants and found a needle. We ended up leaving a day early because we were so miserable.I gave one star because the host was nice and helpful and it had an OK location.

Campground Response

So sorry you had a negative experience. It is always our hope that our guests leave with a good experience. We're happy to chat further via email if you'd like.

I feel very fortunate to have gotten our reservation @ the Cultural Center. It's centrally located and only 20 minutes from Alameda Ave. where you have to turn on to get to the Balloon Festival. The park is close to the Pueblo Indian museum, shops and restaurants. It's "dry camping!" There are no amenities except 2 portalets and a hand washing station, but it worked for us & we enjoyed our stay. The camp host & hostess were great. The Park is fenced and there was a security patrol.

Campground Response

We appreciate your comments and 5-star rating. We're glad you got to visit the Balloons as well as enjoy some of the activities here on our campus.

I never saw any type of security (their site said there was 25 hour security) . I was in the tent area, but all the porta pottys were located near the RV”’s (which most have their own bathrooms) It worked, but I was told when I booked there were festivities planned like fire pits & more fun. I was there two nights & didn’t see anything like that.

Campground Response

We're sorry for your negative experience. We do aim for a good experience for all the guests who visit. We're happy to discuss further via email if you'd like.

What a scam! We arrived at the location to find a derelict parking lot with a improvised office in a travel trailer. The receptionist said "your tent site is somewhere in the rear corner if the lot" There are no site markings or numbers. The bathroom facilities were a portable toilet stand in the middle of the lot. No water available. The wind was blowing at about 25 mph and the area was like a dust storm in the open desert. When asked if the lot would be on grass or soil in order to drive in the necessary stakes to keep the tent secure in the ensuing high wind - I was told that the tent sites were on asphalt and driving stake isn't possible. In total disgust, we left and checked in to a motel. I will definitely file a dispute with my credit card company to get my fees refunded. I highly encourage anyone interested in staying here to find other accommodations - this is not a campground or RV park.

Campground Response

We're sorry for your negative experience. Customer service is a top priority of ours. I'm happy to discuss further via email.

This lot was what we expected. NM is a windy place. First time there for us. The Balloon Fiesta was a roughly 10 mile drive. But well worth it. Nice people at the lot and security always driving by. We were happy to get a place to stay on short notice.

Campground Response

Thanks for choosing to stay here and for providing your notes and review. We hope you enjoyed our town and the balloons!

Fenced in parking lot with no hookups which we knew when we booked, nothing special but loved the price and the lot attendants were super sweet and gave us a lot of tips for our trip to the Balloon Fiesta. Was a little too close to a rough side of town for our taste but we never had any issues, and were told the police drove through often. Overall I think we would book an RV spot here again for future fiesta visits to save money!

Campground Response

Thank you for your review and notes. We've shared your comments with our hosts - they are the best!
