Over the weekend we stayed at Indian Lakes RV Campground in Batesville, Indiana, which is listed as a Thousand Trails facility. We are not members, so the fee was $50/night. When we arrived we were given a map and told to go find a spot on our own and figure out which sites had what amenities when we got there. We then found out that the Indian Lakes portion of this campground was very small with no trees and gravel pads with overgrown grass. The other part of the campground was converted to a Batesville KOA. That side of the park was nice with trees and was virtually empty but we were not allowed to use any sites there since we booked through the Thousand Trails national reservation service. We had no idea that there were two franchises at this location and that one side was nicer and empty. We spent two nights at Indian Lakes and found it to be way over priced, the staff was rude, the sites were iffy at best. The people next to us used two spots for three campers, tents and a bunch of cars. The facility was run down for $50/night. If I had to do it again I'd go down the road 30 minutes and stay at Brookville State Park for $20/night with full hookups and nice level sites in the trees. Overall the experience was odd and the employees even seemed confused by the Thousand Trails/KOA issue. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
