A COE campground on the upper end of Clearwater lake. This campground is right on the Black river. Beautiful scenery and the river is crystal clear with gravel/rock bottom. Float trips available offered by Jeffs Canoe rental right next to the campground. We camp here just about every year during the summer. The CG has 67 sites, some with electricity. Only K loop has water hook ups, but there are water spigots through out the other loops. So an extra water hose may be needed to fill up your water tank on extended stays. Is big rig friendly, dont think there are any pull throughs. There are 3 different areas to the campground, with a new edition that was put in 4 or 5 years ago. The K loop on the west side of Black river is the new edition with water hook ups, but being the new edition, not alot of mature trees for shade. A and B loops are walking distance to the river and just about all the sites on the east side (A, B, C loops) are full shade. The shower house on the east side has been rebuilt and upgraded and is now a very nice bath/shower house. D loop has 5 sites, 4 of which can be reserved, 1 is a walk in. All primitive on D with a primitive toilet only. Pretty far off the beaten path, so cell reception is very limited and no tv reception. No wifi. No pool. Dog friendly, and there is a playground. The host and check in station is at the K loop entrance. The closest town is Annapolis MO, not very big and very limited on groceries, gas etc....Ironton MO is about 20 miles away. Small town, but one can get pretty much everything you need there. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
