We Stayed there the 1st week of October 2023 for 7 days. The Campground was clean and well maintained. This was our 2nd visit to this campground. We were there in September of 2022.also. We were very happy with all the campground staff. They were always courteous and helpful. The restroom facilities were clean. The Long term campers were friendly. We plan to stay again in 2024.

I'm a 67 year old grandmother and widow. I bought my camper 14 months ago and I think this place is great! I'm a quiet person and not a partier and I have had no problems here. Lots of the older people have had campers here for many years and their children now also have campers. So, there are some extended families in the campground, making for a family atmosphere, which I think is great! Some of the reviews on here make it sound like it's party central around here and that is not how it is. The people that do drink, do it respectably. I lived in a condo complex on the TN River in a very well to do area and the people here in this campground are much better behaved than the people in that neighborhood. There is no loud music late into the night. The campground is quiet by 10 pm, if not earlier. As for the pool being closed all season.....my camper is directly across the street from the pool and I have been here all season. I've spent lots of hours sitting on my screened porch watching everyone having fun in the pool. So, the claim made by one reviewer that the pool was closed all season is completely false. As I said previously, I am a 67 yr old woman and I feel safe here. I would not stay somewhere that I did not feel safe. I have met some very nice people in this campground and I have made some very good friends. I can't think of anyone I've met here that hasn't been nice. All of the staff have been nothing but helpful and respectful to me. The people here are real people, good people, down to earth people. I'm sorry some of the reviewers seem to have had a bad experience, but my experience has been a good one so far.

In my opinion a trailer park people I talked to been there twenty plus years.most campers are old and can not be moved and the manager.catch him before four or he's already hitting the bottle . Waste of money alot of different choices around

Did not enjoy this. We will be passing this by from now on. It is poorly managed and not clean. Woman in the office was afraid we would tell the owner about the hungry stray pit bull dog running through the campground we told her about. She did not do anything about it. The manager John walks around with a gun and a man told us he shoots cats so we reckon he shot that dog too. The bathrooms are not clean and there is a strong smell of sewage or broke septic tank by the pool. We paid but didn't stay the whole time. A man with a hummer was arguing with his wife and told her to get out in front of our campsite. A man what lives there plays loud music late and people was gathered there drunk and loud. A woman told us there was a lot of drugs and they are trying to sell their place but she said the bad reputation and there are many for sale will be hard to sell. They said the owner is bad to. We went to Wilderness which is much better.

A dump should be named come one come all to party central cooome to manager where you can give him a ride because he is already drunk and he tells everyone's news good or bad in the park the residents call him the truth because it never came out of him in my Opinion

DONT STAY HERE!! Very bad experience. Onsite manager was intoxicated our 6 days there and we observed him smoking pot 4 days of it. The bathhouses were filthy, used tampons in ladies and poop on mens floors and the laundry room was full by fulltime residents. More like a poor man's trailer park. Noisy at night. Loud music and partying that the manager was also involved in. Aside from close by festivals and scenery and events you are better off staying someplace else. Drunk woman at pool threatened to "whip his ass" of another woman's little boy who was maybe 5. She rode around and around on a golfcart and our son saw her taking things from other campers! A little girl asked us if she could use our phones to call her daddy. Woman in the office was holding court with residents talking about other residents the three times we went in for ice, although she did wait on us promptly. We stayed there up til covid every year and it was always pleasant. Now it is a ghetto although there are several nice new rvs that are permanent. This dump deserves no stars but it prompted me for one. Consider it a negative one.

Used to be tolerable. Stayed there this year for a week, and now it's really a horrible experience. New owner took over and has ruined the campground. Campground smells like sewage and pool is permanently closed now due to not being able to pass inspection. I guess crime has really gotten bad in the campground due to the ability of people being able to cross the creek from the tribe into the campground. Apparently Cherokee has a large meth problem and camper are constantly being broken into. The Jackson County Sheriff had to visit the campground twice while I was there to take reports. It's really a shame as I camped there many years ago and it was fairly nice. There are only a handful of actual camping sites with full hook ups. The rest of the campground you see from pictures online and the map are actually permanent campsites that are privately owned. I may try try looking into some of the other campgrounds in the area for future stays. I've heard the KOA and Jellystone are nice. I hate leaving bad reviews about any place, but this one is definitely one to stay away from!
