Grandpappy Point Resort & Marina is located in the beautiful Texas town of Denison and is a great spot for an authentic southern vacation. Onsite, boaters can enjoy this spectacular paradise with calm blue waters, and plenty of space to cruise around. Nearby Eisenhower Park is known for its breathtaking natural terrain, hiking and ATV trails and modern marina. Campers can look forward to a number of offsite attractions such as the Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site, Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge, Fairfield Lake State Park and the Waterloo Lake Regional Park. Among these sites, travelers can enjoy great sight seeing and outdoor fun like wildlife viewing, hiking, fishing, boating, paddle boarding and kayaking. Grayson County Frontier Village and the Red River Railroad Museum are other camper favorites. Wenatchee River County Park is a great county park along the Wenatchee River, which is a tributary of the Columbia. 49 sites - 2 dry camping, 3 pull throughs, the rest back ins. All but the two have FHUs. Free WiFi, no cable. Sites spaced well. All on paved pads with plenty of room for truck or toad. Grass in between sites and plenty of trees too. Concrete pads for picnic tables and fire rings. Clean restrooms, showers and laundry ($2 each for washer, dryer; 2 washers, 2 dryers; also 25 cents for 4 min. shower) Designated dog area, playground, horseshoes, basketball hoops, rec room, workout room, dump station. I did not see a pool. Not far from towns of Wenatchee and Leavenworth. Loop D (where we were assigned) has road noise. The A loop probably also has some, but the B and C loops would be more quiet.
