This is a small installation, with a small (7 spots) RV facility. All spots are FHU and fit our 35 foot trailer and a 45 foot clay A next to us. Sites A, B and C have trees, most suitable for rigs under 13 feet tall. Laundry facilities (75cents for wash, 25 cents for each dry cycle) we experienced $1.25 total for each load. Gym available, with showers. Small convenience store with espresso, field gear, barber shop and extensive Class 6. It was HOT, tripple digits every day we were there, but that is Boise in the summer. They also have an all-Ranks club, reported to be very nice, with "Bar food". We keep thinking we will go, but family gatherings always interfere. Very popular, so reserve early.

Great small fam camp. A little tight for big rigs but doable. Great camp host. The park had a power issue, but was restored in a few hours and the camp host kept all of us informed. Some noise from jets taking off, but not constant. It did not bother us at all. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

A very nice place to stay for a few days. Quiet except for the planes taking off, which was cool. The contact person was not a camper but extremely nice and helpful. The base is small but has a very reasonable laundry, a nice bar, great gym, and warbirds on display. A real find. Access to Boise is fairly easy via the interstate. Boise was a surprise. Extremely clean. A very nice Saturday market with music and local artist and venders. Went to the Cheesecake Factory, a favorite of mine. Will certainly stop there again if out travels take us near there.

Great little park. We spent three nights while visiting friends in the area. There is an excellent laundry room that allowed us to catch up on the wash.

Great place to stay when visiting friends and family in Boise and checking out the area. Services are well maintained. Interesting things to see when walking around the base.

Nice for overnight stay. The gym is 24/7 and just one block away. The store on base is small but has some basics and friendly staff. Only draw back was the road is closed that takes you in the right direction to back into angled space, so had to turn around and back down the road.

Didn't realize there were no bathrooms or showers - other than that, the experience was fine: clean and well maintained camping.

Excellent small park. Clean and adequate size sites. Easy to locate. Staffing professional and courteous. Enjoyed the large trees and grass areas. Will return, if site is available. Thank you.

I’m leaving this review for the next person. Let me start with this google maps will not take you to the correct gate. You better read the directions in the one email they send you. Then when you do get to the correct gate. You will have to cross a dozen or so speed bumps that my trailer dragged on. Once you make it to the guard they will scan your ID if you’re not in the Gowen field register you will be screwed if it’s pasted 3pm as the visited office is closed. So if you dare stay here make sure you are all registered. But to tell you the truth it’s not worth the hassle to save $10!

The stay was nice. The showers at the gym and Landry shared with troops is a bit of a walk. The 90 day max stay with only 7 slots makes it hard to get a reservation. With so many military traveling by their own rig, more spaces are badly needed especially when there is a dirt lot right next door waiting to be developed for new spots. The bar & grill, chapel, gym, laundry, and military displays are wonderful to walk around.

Exceptional military park and well operated. Great place to take a few days of quite rest from the road. Gym, laundry, and a small military pub within walking distance.

The only issue I had was no emergency contact available on weekends or after hours. Base police were very helpful getting us to the camp site.

The customer service made it the best. OK location very clean campsite wish they had a bathhouse and laundry facility that was for the campground only. But as I said before the customer service made it a perfect 10 out of 10

This the diamond in the rough. Super clean, nice, quiet and safe park that is close to everything Boise related. Although small this was one of my most favorite parks as it kept me close to everything I loves in Boise. My only wish would bel that they expanded this park so I can come back many more times. I highly recommend to anyone. I will definitely be back for many times to come.

Staff is amazing! I was disappointed in the upkeep of the RV area. We have stayed there for many years, this is the first time that weeds are out of control and the grass area has not been replanted since the new water line was installed. But we will be back assuming this was a one time experience.

Very nice park, I would recommend a small dog park, as I noticed other campers all have dogs off leash. Cement pads need attention also.

We enjoyed our stay at Gowen Field Military RV Camp in February! The site was clean, as was the entire base. Although it is right next to the airport, the plane traffic was not too noisy. The "chatty" Canadian Geese flying over at three in the morning were much harder to get used to. The manager of the park, Kat, was very helpful when our plans changed abruptly and we had to leave over a month early. In all, it was a very nice place to stay, and we'll be back as soon as we can manage it!

Need heat tape on water outlet, other than that great stop for 3 days.

The Gowen Field RV Camping place was clean and quiet. We stayed one night and had dinner in bldg 712. It was very good and the price was excellent. We would stay there again.
