Garrison's River Resort

GARRISONS is a rundown resort. Resort is a huge stretch of the word. Everywhere you look you can see they don't keep up THETE place. Roads are bad showers don't work right. Some staff are ok but they more that ate not. Lots of teenagers work as the staff. The manager is not capable of running the staff. She lets them be rude to you right in front of her. The type of campers they tend to are the ones that other local resorts don't allow. It is not small child friendly. The security is a joke. THEY cannot handle the people who ate camping THETE. So if you ate THETE be ready to handle it on your own. BECAUSE they cannot do it themselves. Rough types go and party there. Not family friendly. Pay mote and go to better places like Bass river resorts. THEY are family friendly. You will be around other nice families. You will be safer. It will be better kept than garrisons. THEY are not customer accommodating. You are nothing more than a green dollar bill. If you are a RELIGEOUS person you not going to enjoy the clientele there. THEY have the largest number of drunks patiers you can imagine. And they don't keep them inline. It's like a free for all. Never go on a weekend. Complete nightmare. Obscene music lyrics. The volume is never controlled. THEY can even concert levels of volume and they won't even have the camper turn it down. So this is not for families. I will never return there. My own grown kids and their families don't and will not camp there. BECAUSE garrisons gets all the want to be campers that descent resorts will not tolerate. They are shabby ran business that have not kept up with the times. The only advancement is the number of dangerous scum that will ruin your own enjoyment. People who could care less if they ruin it for you that includes most of the staff. Mostly young teenagers.

Once a we year camp here. The owners and staff are the friendliest ever. We have camped here for so many years once a year that we think of them like family. So if your in the Steelville Missouri area stop in and see them. Tent, RV, Canoe and raft float trips. Roads are gravel. Sites are on grass. Pull thru on pretty much all sites. WiFi available but only at the office. Cell service works for sure if you have AT&T but is sketchy. Good place to get off the grid. Pet friendly.
